Have to say that i always liked my Nash KNX but decided to have a look at the Sonik. Thought it looked good, so i bought one for £49. Arrived today, set it up, very impressed.

Is there a pod that will double up as a two rod single stick pod and a three rod goalpost pod...
I know there are a few that I could use a single stick to the two or three rod buzzer bar, but are there any that can do a single stick for my two rod set up, and also allow my three rod set up to be used goalpost style.

Yes the Sonik rod pod is brilliant no need to get your pants pulled down paying silly money for a pod these days

Thats why i bought the Nash KNX in the first place as it was under £50 but i have to say, the Sonik does appear to be far sturdier than the Nash and also pleased that it all fits in the holdall. Very happy to be honest.

Bought a saber pod and the bars were different lengths! Sent it back and got sent a new one which was the same so sent that back also......

That is a normal thing with some pods and not unusual. The Sonik pod is the same. I think the idea is the manufacturer presumes you will be casting straight out, one to the left and one to the right and thinks your rods should be splayed out in the directions you are fishing roughly.
Myself, I like all rods to be parallel hence why I use a couple of 11.5" Cygnet bars on my Sonik pod as well as the fact it makes it look more compact.
That is a normal thing with some pods and not unusual. The Sonik pod is the same. I think the idea is the manufacturer presumes you will be casting straight out, one to the left and one to the right and thinks your rods should be splayed out in the directions you are fishing roughly.

Yes it's quite common on pods. I even had my defiant built like that. It's such a subtle difference I never really thought it means you fish left and right. I thought it wasnto combat optical illusion
Of the rods converging into the distance. Eg,nit helps them look parallel and not toed in.

It's not designed like that, it was the saber supra pod that unfolded and the arms are supposed to be the same length but weren't......

So your confusing the issue then, if you bought the Saber Supra compact pod or the Lowpro pod it was the pod itself that had the problem and not the "bars" themselves. But even looking at a picture of the pod, it is is designed that two of the arms are longer than the other two, so they are "supposed" to be like that. Also both "bars" are of a different widths, 25cm and 28cm.

Sorry, should have said arms.......Supra is designed to unfold, two arms going forward and two arms going back like an X.......two going forward we're different lengths by about 1cm.....once the bars were on it, it was twisted.......cheap saber *****!
