For the ceiling if it's white use a good contract emulsion ie Dulux etc as it's breathable and won't peel like vinyl Matt after a while
If your set on wall paper try and go for a vinyl it will say on the label,if there's steam it won't penetrate the paper so much but you might get condensation a bit like on tiles
I've been in the trade 40 odd years,anything else feel free to ask
