I've got a 10cm Exped Megamat, use all year round without any problems, folds up in bed when deflated and comes with a small hand pump to firm it up to your desired level. Not cheap but the comfort level it like night and day compared to the thinner one I used to have.

I use a thermorest 5cm mat and cover it with a cotton bed chair cover, i inflate it myself

I started off with a cheap one ,it felt like plastic to the touch
I to was concerned about a more expensive sim being too hot in the summer
If you look at the ratings on the mats , I would look at one with a low thermal rating
As they are designed to be used on the ground
To be honest I can feel the added warmth in the winter, and forgot to notice it in the summer
