Proper dead man's shoes now, even to get on the waiting list!
Amazing place, amazing stock....and it's not all big 150 yard chucks and mountains of bait.
Rules are strict but it makes for a fabulous fishery. I was on for 4 years and loved every minute, should never have left!

Not dead mans shoes at all messaging the owner with a fishing cv will get you selected if your right but stringent rules and over fed wrongens for nearly 2 grand a year is not everyone s cup of tea

2000 fish nearly in 75 acres, like clubbing seals.The type of place for your instant angler, straight out the packet...just add water. Should be called Nodsville. Joke of a place.
Before someone goes 'but you're just jealous as you can't fish it' a guy at work was banging on about it and gave me the number couple or so years back, spoke to the bloke who runs it and he can across as a right knobber, some old gash about "elite water for elite anglers" and had arranged for a walk about. After checking out the stock, I laughed my arse off and told the bloke I wasn't interested at all. Can't see any difference between banging out zillions of roach on a match lake or this place, just the difference being the carp pull harder.

Have a look at Rob hales new pool, an old Shropshire mere he's took over drained and restocked.
Absolute shocking Mutant fish in a lake that contained absolute stunning fish. And people including Ali are telling the bloke he's amazing

Grenville may be expensive but it is nothing like a Monument/Pavyotts Mill/Strawberry Fields/Float Fish Farm or any other Israeli stuffed water....instead of throwing around insults do some research....

i got offered a place on there some years ago. didnt take it as my lad was in Afghan as part of the royal marines 40 commando and my head wasnt in it at all.
sort of wish i took the place but timing wasnt the best.
I know a few lads that are on there, they love it. it certainly isnt an easy water despite what people think.
Its run with an iron rod, not for everyone i guess, but it stops the idiots getting on there.

It doesn't matter what the stock is to be honest, could be full to the brim with Leney's and I'll say the same thing.
There isn't any real merit in catching fish from places like these, just a case of rocking up in your pre booked synthetic swim, catch, don't catch, rinse and repeat with a ridiculous head of fish going around and around the place like something from the film Midnight Express. Non of it is very memorable, a bit like going to a whore house, pays ya money and get ya nuts emptied, well done, top bombing.
More than likely the types of anglers that go to these types of venues are match fishing carp converts (MFCC) that have been brought up on similar places with the exception that the fish are smaller than those in Nodsville's and it's all just quite predictable /normal and who couldn't even remotely dream of going to a long forgotten forest pond where no-one bothers to fish anymore with only a handful of fish, after months of trying and associated nightmares of fishing such places, eventually catch a pristine common barely nudging the scales at 17lb.
