I would buy the fortis tomorrow if they made a wide one but my options are limited to the gardner bag to fit my wide sp bed. For the price you cant really grumble.

Got the Gardner duvet compact (still a bit big for my DPM superlite). It is a lovely bag though and very lightweight.

I can only second this post.
The Gardner bag isn't perfect, but it's really good value for money and will keep you warm all winter when used with a cover.

I had the same dilemma recently and was looking at the same two bags. In the end, went for the Fortis and it been great. Size and weight are important to me and it ticks both of those boxes. I too have the Gardner cover which is an awesome bit of kit. Super warm and waterproof, which is my only niggle with the Fortis bag, not being waterproof.
I looked at the Gardner one and wasn't impressed with the extra layer and how it toggled in and out. Just my preference of course. It does generally get good overall feedback though.
