well I hear what your saying
but ! ?? on my Tempest bivvy with my skull cap on 2 things happen 1 INSIDE my bivvy I only get condensation on the sides never on the roof !
2 when I pack up I loosen the skull straps and check for damp or wet its extremely rare for it to be wet but I flap it over and 3 mins with the sports towel sorts any damp
Im paranoid after my Aqualite bivvy that had only seen the bank about 6 times as I had a few bivvies and I loaned it to a mate who failed to mention he had packed up in the rain well it was over a year in my shed when someone was looking for one so I sold it to him I never even took it out the bag after all it was really like new he was on the phone next day that bivvy has had it I put it up in the garden and its like used durex hanging down everywhere ?? it had completely delaminated
so you can see I am really aware of just what damp can do and I know of the big problems SOME folk are definitely having with these Vapour shields as the damp is HIDDEN on the INSIDE of the bivvy
I really should not be trying to suggest the reasons reasons as my logic may be flawed but there is fook all wrong with my eyes !!!
