That's useful to know, thanks. What substrate would you use them over, just clean or can you use them over chod ?

I don't use it's I think it's unsafe, as an alternative I use heavier line such as 18lb plus and manage my cast. There is no reason to use it and it's dangerous towards fish safety.

I've used loads in the past don't get me wrong as a kid I never felt the need and I and never had an issue even fishing at a range of 140 yards. it's a fad imo as it allows your to have a sloppy casts and get away with presenting a bait half decently. A two bait stringer elevated the need for rig tubing and leadcore/less etc.

The old boom tubes or Rigmaroles chained tubing (although I never got my head around finishing the ends off neatly so gave up on it) are far better, the major issue is that is easily backs up on its self and so causes a locked system. I've just found an alternative to using tubing which is not using it and it's safe

Are it's all about education, it really isn't hard to display thats it's unsafe.

I use it on one particular lake I fish due to large mussel beds,this tubing does not get damaged by them
