Nonsence. Its very personal, some people feel the cold way differently to other people. Some people say you only need a 3 season bag in winter (usually over weight people funnily).
Not sure i would want a heated sleeping bag, im happy using hot water bottles, but can see it being nessisary, especially in some places in eastern europe, or just some people who want to be warm and comfortable.

If you are kitted out in decent cold weather gear as most people are these days then no it's not nonsense at all. Yes people feel the cold in different ways but considering most average lakes will freeze over when the temps dip not too far below zero and most winter bags are more than capable of keeping you warm in those conditions. The reason most feel the cold in their bag is because they are wearing to much clothing in it ,preventing it from doing its job properly.

How can you agree that a hot water bottle works, but then say a a heated sleeping bag is unnessisary?
They both do the exact same thing.
Sleeping bags work by capturing your own body heat. When you are already bloody freezing, its really difficult to warm them up. I suffer from the cold really badly, and i counter this by putting several hot water bottles in the bag first maybe 30 mins before i get in, to get it warm first.
If there was just a switch you could press to pre heat the bag for you that would be really convenient.
I wouodnt buy one becaise it probably weighs a tonne, but if fished long winter sessions here or abroad with swims i could park in i would be interested.

People can go and survive in temperatures so much colder than ours without a heated bag. If it were really needed then someone would have released something like this a long time ago. It's not like the technology hasn't been available,is it?

Theres lots of things we dont "need" but why cant we also have nice things that make us warm, comfortable and are convenient?
I dont need an electric blanket at home. I have central heating and loft insulation and sufficient blankets. But i have one because on a cold night its bloody lovely getting into a noce warm bed at just the flick of a switch.

Tackle companies are constantly trying to convince us we "need" allsorts of stuff, this is just another thing. And why anyone would spend whatever this thing costs , and may only last a year before breaking, as opposed to a 5 quid hot water bottle is beyond me.

I've literally just explained it. Comfort and convenience. No having to boil the kettle at 4am to warm up.
Your "i dont want it so it's stupid" attitude is incredibly childish. If noone wants or needs it, none will sell. If you dont want one. Don't buy one.

Got to say IP, other than proper bags made by proper companies, I'm talking about mountaineering kit, most fishing sleeping bags I've found are utter gash. Bods were banging on about the Gardner one released not so long ago, seriously, what a pile of freezing cold junk that is. I've now got a Trakker 365 which by the looks of it is well made and should be warm for me, maybe others not so much.
I get your point about places freezing.over, thing is, it's not just about places freezing and over, wind chill is a very important factor and where you're fishing doesn't have to be ice for you to be freezing your nuts off. Like you say, good, warm clothing is a must plus layering correctly.

Agree lots of tackle company gear is rubbish, and usually more expensive for some reason. I've been night fishing since the late 80s so I'm fully aware of things like wind chill too. So yeah decent clothing which we all need anyway as we don't just stay in the bag the whole time is a must. Not really relevant to inside the bag though as wearing that stops the bag working. I find the idea of a heated bag a bit of a joke. What next, solar powered radiators?
With this bag I wonder what the warranty will be? And is the heating element part replaceable? Seems like it could be a very costly way to keep comfy

Idea is not stupid if you wouldnt need 17 powerpacks for 5 days session... Maybe your lakes in uk freeze as soon as it gets bellow zero, in europe deep lakes and rivers will never freeze and fishing in in -5 and sometimes much more during night is common thing from nov-march. Big problem for those that like winter fishing (when lakes are finally less bussy)... there are no clothes that will keep you comfortable on a week session like that 24/7... At that point bivvy heaters come in handy but if somebody did come up with economic way for more pleasant (and safe) nights I can only

Makes you wonder how people explore the Antarctic and stay warm doesn't it.....
Of course there are clothes to keep you warm, they just aren't fishing branded
