Cheers, had been wondering about how the insurgent spod would be. Only just too late, was only last week decided to pull the trigger on getting a spod rod. In the end I treated myself to the scope spod. Can't really justify the cost of it, other than I felt like treating myself and figured I shouldn't have any issue with it keeping up with my regular scopes. Used it over the weekend and pretty happy with it. Didn't have cause to try any long chucks with it, was only fishing at about 60 yards, but it handled that very casually - didn't feel like I was working the rod at all.
