Guess it depends on how someone justify things, it's compact in size does the job which could be done for a lot less agreed. I'm happy with a £12 tripod, it's a little bulky but serves a purpose.

I don't get why your upset about the price of this but were happy to spend that on three butt rests, then spend another 60 for an accessory to grip the rods

Was a thread about this when it first came out. Silly money. But people kept saying what good value it is I'm sorry but if you think this is good value you've eaten far too many crayons

Alternatively if Jag pull them from their range you might get it from the bay at £150

If it's a little rich for you don't buy it as with a lot of things in life there are cheap & expensive versions that do exactly the same thing 🤷‍♂️

For £65 you could get a carbon tri pod however it looks so much more carpy if it's bodged correctly.

The Jag camera stick is a good idea but completely impractical....once it is screwed into position that's it, you can't unscrew it and re-screw it a foot or so to the left/right if the shot is not quite right whilst you have a fish on the mat....with a tripod it is a 2 second job to move.....

offers nothing to improve self takes over a tripod......so for that reason, I'm out.

Nobody has said they're not expensive but I think people are missing the point, those cheap adaptors aren't stainless steel and everything but the screw point has had to be designed and machined for the jag stick.
Everyone has an opinion but until you can personally make something better or an equivalent that you can sell cheaper for a profit, then it actually is good value when you consider the tooling, materials and skill you don't possess.

Not that I want one, but I think it's a fair price considering some of the **** I see people buying.

It's the same old argument I see time and time again. Someone comes onto every new jag product thread and slags off the price and claims it can be done cheaper. So what. Buy it cheaper then. You don't see many people slagging off the materials, the build quality, the after sales, the fact that it's uk made etc etc.

If it's not for you then fine. But it is for a lot of people. I remember plenty saying that the camera sticks will never sell, well guess what, they sold out and they had to do another production run. Oh and the korda distance sticks, apparently they are too expensive. Guess what they sold out, then the next run sold out, then the run after that etc etc. Now the catapult. People slagging it off before they've even seen it, but guess what, the initial run is nearly sold out on preorders alone and it ain't even in the shops yet.

Jag stuff is expensive. It's hand made in the uk. It's been expensive for fifteen years. What's your point? If you don't want to buy it then use an alternative. There's plenty of cheap Chinese tat out there. Take your pick.

You could say that about anything. Just because baitroom will sell out straight away at £40 a tub doesn't make it good value.

It's a non argument though isn't it. I can go to Tesco metro and buy a loaf of bread for a pound. I can go to M&S and buy a loaf of bread for £4. Do you picket the doors of M&S every time they release a new bread roll cos it's not value for money?

I drove past a Mercedes dealership last week. I didn't see a single Dacia owner outside shouting at Mercedes drivers that their car also has four wheels and a steering wheel.
