I generally carry it in 3x breaking strains, but if it's clear of weed and fairly snag free I'd go with the 3.6kg (0.18) it's relatively cheap so no hardship buying a few spools, I generally have 0.18 0.20 0.22in the surface tackle pouch. Gink & Xink are definitely worth having in your kit, you can make the last 4”/6” nearest the hook sink and the rest float which definitely helps get more takes when the fish are being finicky.
