In response to some replies, i got mine from Angling Direct for £59, i have got it working and you DO NOT need an App. for Android which i use but you do for Apple and the App is in store.
I plan to use mine in addition to the echo sounder on my Baitboat, i fish a pretty weedy shallow water mostly 5 foot or less and its pretty clear most of the time so i think it should be a great help. I can't wait to see if the spots i have been fishing are what i think they are!!

FYI you don't need the app for Apple. Just pair it to the wifi with the code then punch in 192.168.4.101 to safari.
That may be useful for anyone as android or Apple update going forwards, as I found them to be a little behind the updates. Now that TF gear are no longer I can imagine they won't be making any further updates at all!

On my spod rod, I use a size 1/0 coastlock snap swivel so I can quickly change spombs between medium and large. Could i use the same on a marker rod, so if I had a fishspy I could change between that and a conventional marker float?

Fishspy recommend you tie the float directly to your braid, think that is because anything you use to attach it will block the cameras view?
