What about boards/stages. Heck of a lot easily pushing two titanium pegs into the ground than a clumsy bank stick.

Sometimes its not possible to anchor the pod down, the worldwide does has design flaws the simple fact that it has to be anchored proves this, compared to its predecessor the globetrotter which i have owned for 20 plus years and used in severe conditions which has never let me down.
I only went down the worldwide pod route as my globetrotter was left at my mates house in france and having extensively used both in various conditions i certainly know which is far more stable, plus my globetrotter is invariably used with the original wide 4 rod bars with the outer two rods a lot further from the pods centre of gravity.

Not really sure how a bankstick is considered clumsy though. Its a stick, that you push into the ground.

I had a the original worldwide pod and also the global add on kit for fishing rod tips high I never had and stability problems when using the global extension
however I did buy the Solar Anchor accessory for when I used it like a standard worldwide but to be honest a screw in cup hook and a loop of paracord if used on boards was better than the expensive Solar Tackle Pod Anchor and a decent screw in bivvy peg and loop of paracord works just as well on the bank
I paid £25 complete Solar Tackle Pod Anchor at carp show years ago people are selling just the hook £100 now lol

That's all pods and if you can't anchor it you ain't getting bank sticks in. Solar are making the globe trotter again.

Im only going off my experience of using both the solar pods, i have never had to anchor the globetrotter and its the pod i would always take on foreign trips over the worldwide. My initial posts may indicate the worldwide is a bad pod it is far from that in my view it has a flaw that could easily be overcome.
What i would say it was only when i have had rods going off at an angle, it was first noticed when i was fishing a swim where the pod had to be pointing straight out at the lake with the lines going down to the right the worldwide was able to twist on takes however tight the collet was tightened (i even tried locking it with pipe grips) the same can happen if a single rod is fishing of to a margin. Its not always possible to put a margin rod on single sticks i dont believe it can happen if all the rods are going straight out into the lake
In my view the simple ways round this are to use a square or hex section main bar that simply cant twist or to use two round centre bars which was the mod i made to my worldwide it now cant twist and is exceptionally stable plus i have the advantage that with the centre bar not there i can use any configuration of indicator on the middle rod without it fouling on the bar

Oh I agree that the WW could be bettered, a buzz bar arrangement that I could also use on sticks with out faff. Locking the centre bar would be another decent upgrade, although I tend to peg it down and use rod lockers after a friend on mine had his stage stands and rods end up in he drink due to shimanos reel grease locking up.
