I found on a pram hood bivvy I owned that the tension strap was slightly too short which then increased the height so you couldn't peg it in........ditched the strap and used the groundsheet hooks and it dropped the front about 2 inches and no more issues........give it a try.......

Same happened to me about 15 years ago with an armo, trakker sent a new strap out which was about 6" longer and it was fine after that!

So this is how I set it up and I think it has overcome the problems:

1. Connect poles
2. Connect tension strap. Largest setting.
3. Peg the 2 points at the back left and right of the centre point.
4. Pull forward. Peg 2 points by the door.
5. Peg other 2 points at the back so it's flat. May need to adjust the sides at this stage.
6. Move to the front. Peg remaining points then the side.
7. I then only use the 2 front tension bars rather than the 3. You can then put the others in if you require.

Cheers greg. I had another go today. I ended up pegging from front which worked also:

Poles then tension strap
Pegged out from sides and door
Inserted front 2 tension poles
Pegged out rear
This worked. It's so rock solid the back pole is almost irrelevant

There is definitely an art to it, it's not shaped like a normal bivvy though so bound to be.

Superb bit of kit once you figure it out

Wychwood released a PDF on setting this bivvy up but they have after pressure announced they will be releasing a video shortly, TBF Gregs post was not far off the mark for setting this bivvy up, I took mine this weekend for the first outing it had a proper test 60 acre open pit in the teeth of the wind stood up to it very well, it was setup in an uneven swim slopping from front to back with no issues using the PDF as a guide, I was very happy with it nice bit of space, good headroom, nice flat back to get the bedchair right back, the wide door is a plus as well, for £250 notes it gets a from me.

I was thinking of getting one due to the shape and especially the price.

one thing that let's wychwood down is the marketing of their products,they seem to do just enough to get the word out there. I'm sure if they had a responsive interactive team they would shift more products. I too like this bivvy,but until I see one in the flesh I'm not going to even contemplate it.
