I know its only superficial but i love the look of the emblem 25c qd which i think is fairly similar in spec to the castizm minus the mag seal i think.

No they are not big reels at all.
Have them on my 11' rods and they are a perfect match.

What sort of size roughly are they ? with all shops closed no chance of viewing. Are they similar in size to a shimano 6000 Baitrunner ?

They're a little bigger than a 6000 baitrunner. In shimano terms they're about ultegra 5500 possibly a smidgeon smaller and in daiwa terms they're in between a 2600 and emblem 5000.

Emcast 25A whilst amazing for the money were too big for me on a 9 foot rod and I swapped for SS2600.

Sold my Castizms and bought some Emcast 25 A's.

Absolute bargain, and feel every bit as good as the Castizms.

How big are affinity ii 8000 compared to 5500 xtds or 25as? Are they much, much bigger?

Thanks for the reply but I think I posted this on wrong thread, still though, xtds were perfect size for me for all round use don't really want to go smaller or much larger but I've now sold my xtds as they were crap so need something quick. Anybody used windcast zs?

The penn 7000 are a standard big pit size, the 8000 are huge

Yes , I've had a set of windcasts , absolute garbage , plastic fantastic !
Go for a set of Ci4 5500 Ultegras , or as said the Castizm
