But submerge it in water and its a different story altogether, its not a good idea to dunk reels or anything else that isn't properly sealed in water,

To be honest - I do not base my personal choice on purchasing fishing tackle on whether a company, in a video has dunked their fishing reels, and in doing so, may deem thousands of reels, belonging to young, vulnerable, easily misguided anglers as fubar'd. It simply never crossed my mind that I was so short sighted.

First off I don't drink my reels , but my reels have been submerged in water on Many occasion's , either I am lucky or Okuma seal their reels very well.
