Even well know anglers are getting chucked off, the ones who fish it regular have more sense than to break the rules.
There were two lads who fish for a well known tackle company, they had sacked a fish over night so that they could take better pics in the morning. Pascal caught them and booted em off.
I know that this is going to sound controversial but everyone had the chance to fish at Rainbow all those years ago when it wasn't so well known, there are still quite a few that keep going back because they have built up good friendships with Pascal.
The thing that pisses me off is that the more well know anglers seem to get straight on there, because they know somebody who knows somebody, who knows somebody, that fishes Rainbow
Isn't that the case in all walks of carp angling these days, I'm glad that I am an unknown
My mate is one of those people that has been going to Rainbow for years, I feel honored to think that he asked me if I wanted share the later part of his trip

What I'm led to believe and have also been told is that you book to fish rainbow and pascal tells you what swim you are fishing, whether that the same for the guys who fish there often I don't know.
My friend is going 3 times next year but this has been booked for about 3 years I believe and yes he did invite me to go once but I was busy with work so turned it down 😱😜👍

How it actually works is you hand dates and swims in that you would like if they are available then bingo if not you possibly get the date not the swim or the other way around or if neither date or swim are available you get what's available.
Even Anglers that have been going for 20 years are only being given 2 bookings a year but because they have mates getting bookings they share the trips so it seems that they have quite a few bookings or there quite regularly.
Ken and Jackie are about the only couple I know that get the same dates and swims every year other than the regular Christmas weeks and anglers who are there every Christmas, you have to remember that Ken and Jackie have been going for a month a year in swim 11 for over around 20/25 years they've earn't that right in my book.
Many a big named angler have been kicked off Rainbow you'd be surprised, one thing Pascal doesn't do is discriminate.
I have been going to Rainbow since 2008 done around 30 one or two week trips and never had my own booking I do not even entertain asking Pascal for one, ask on a bad day and you have no hope of a booking, I see it all the time a new angler gets on a trip and spends the week badgering him or the boys for a booking generally your never going to get one going about it like this I've even seen them asking the first morning before even leaving the lodge to start fishing never going to happen, do it the right way and you may get offered one by the end of the week.
I was finishing a two week trip when Rob hales and his party where in the clubhouse Friday night having a jolly prior to fishing Saturday people on his booking were Des Taylor, Len Arbury, Chris Tarrant and a few others, on getting round the club house Saturday morning they were all at the BBQ set looking sheepish they were about to get a red card when the mate I fish with who has been going to Rainbow since 1998 Saw Rob they have been friends for a lot longer and he asked if he could have a word with Pascal and calm it all down they were allowed to fish but their card was marked, one of the above was the cause for annoying Pascal I wont say on here why but it's funny how he never returned and wrote a goodbye Rainbow article the following month saying he had just about done everything he needed at Rainbow and it was time to move on, Paisley dropped a big clanger once was about to get his marching orders that was close to don't ever come back, it's not all what you think down there, I've seen antics by big named anglers at Rainbow that if Pascal found them at it they would be through the gate no questions asked.

Best commercial fishery in France in my opinion yes some of the swims could be better but then Pascal likes it the way it is and it is his lake after all, I think it was 7 x 70+ out last week without all the others, mate of mine has just finished 13 nights for 59 fish and 8 were over 50lb 6 over 60lb and one 70+ a quarter of his catch were over 50lb not many other commercial lakes if any in France can compare to that.

Nope, even 'A list / celebrity' anglers cannot break the rules.
I know of one 'high profile' sponsored angler on his first... and last/only trip to Rainbow, witnessed by a friend of mine, and other anglers on, at the time, taking the p1$$, and wondered why he couldn't get back on
some people may think there are above the rainbow rules, reality check - you are not.

Sounds to me like Pascals law is spreading, GREAT!
It is nice to know for a change that nobody, not even the A lister's are above it
There are so many so called top anglers that we mere mortals are brainwashed into looking up to, if everyone knew what they got up to in there quest to get another photo of a big carp for an article to promote tackle or even themselves, I think angler would see them in a totally different light
I must stress that it's not all, and some do get a massive buzz from putting a bit back into fishing for the public.
I don't get sucked into half what goes on behind the scenes in angling, having worked in the trade, and been a carp angler for more years than I care to remember, I've seen it all, and know what goes on. there are far more anglers that get caught on new tackle than fish that's for sure

I've only fished rainbow the once
but I didn't blank big smile ! and it was a big tick off my bucket list and thought Pascal was a really nice bloke the lake has an amazing feel to it
I doubt I will ever fish it again I did have an invite since but turned it down as it clashed with my holiday but it's a nice memory I have now
to old and skint to ever fish it again

I noticed it really depends on the peg and time.Sometimes they are just there even when I only use boilies, other times I use lots of particles and have no problem...

Tom,
I've been told to avoid particles like the plague.
The bream are an absolute nightmare if they move in on your bait, they are huge and will demolish your baited spot in no time, plus it's a pain having to re set you trap if you catch one, but hey if they work for you

Theres a list of anglers who get first pick of dates/swims every year, certain anglers get loads. One angler walked out the office with 26 different weeks one year. watch the facebook page and you`ll see who goes loads of times. We have been going for 12 years, 2 separate week bookings, never picked a swim or time only ever took what was offered, usually the unpopular swims. Swim double booked once, ended up in the only swim available in March, 14, was told to write down dates and swims for next year, never heard a thing. Last trip was March 2019 was told book was opening November 2019 for 2021 as 2020 was fully booked. Already reading that people already have booking for 2021. Very fortunate to have fished the lake and caught what was the 2 biggest fish in the lake but looking like history now.

Going off topic a little,
Does anybody know how things will change going in and out of France if this Brexit thing happens please?
