Thank you for your feedback Paul, I rang the tacklebox today and asked for there advice and the man on the phone advised me I would be better off going for the 9ft 3tc would be a better choice.
It's going too be for my 7 year old who enjoys come with me and wants to progress from his float set up.

No problem at all. Seeing as it's for your 7 year old, if you can find an older dwarf/scope 9' 1.75 or 2.25 that'll be better. Trouble is finding one though!
