My diet on the bank consists of porridge pots, chicken or pork and salad for dinner and chicken curry or stir fry for tea . Bit of fruit and some nuts and a shed load of tea . Keeps me motivated
I find Aldi a great one stop shop and keep it all fresh In a coolbox kept in the van

I'm much the same as everyone else food wise tbh... I rarely do three nights....mostly one but sometimes two.
But let's say it was a three nighter.... breakfast is porridge pots, weetabix (warm milk if it's chilly) or maybe sausage sandwiches on the first morning..... or if sausage are taken frozen they may make it to second morning if weather isn't too hot. Bananas and lemon or fruit pancakes as snacks through the day (generally don't eat lunch whilst fishing... but keep plenty of snacky bits to keep going until dinner).
As for evening meals, probably a steak with mushrooms and onions in a wrap/roll with some salad the first night... bolognaise/chilli/curry/meatballs in sauce/ ginger chicken in sauce (taken frozen) with pasta or rice the second night and tbh for the last night for years my go to meal has been pasta with one of those dolmio type stir in sauces in the tubs..... they don't need to be kept chilled so nice and easy - I have a small click top air tight tub which will hold enough pasta and the sauce along with a tub of pepper to season...sits nicely in the corner of my cool bag....I call it my “meal in a tub”. Small saucepan with folding handle along with ridge monkey are all I take to cook in - incidentally occasionally take a couple of the small Chicago town pizzas as a change to cook in the ridge monkey....again taken frozen with maybe a few chips or wedges.
5 litres of water in water butt and a few litres spare in the car along with spare gas. 👍🏻

A good few years back during the hot summer months, I got fed up with keeping food fresh etc on week long sessions. So I went onto a regime of salad butties, cheese and tomato or onion, ham salad etc with big wodges of salad cream and I quite enjoyed it. Also it was pleasant not to have to mess about cooking. There was something therapeutic about dicing things up and preparing it all to make a butty.
Keep meaning to do it again but the thought of Indians, chinkies, stews, sausage / bacon / egg butties, cheeseburgers etc seem more appealing along with a packet of 4 Cadbury Wispa's for pudding.

Don't take a cool bag as such for 48hrs or less, normally just take a decent currry, a good curry will last ages due to the spices etc , naan bread , rice etc , easy life. You're firrst night and second you can take a steak or something , food does not go off that quickly but i am not that OCD about stuff , i aint dead yet.

Spices etc won't stop things like listeria. A cool box or bag is essential in the warmer months, allsorts of nasties can be growing on your food and you won't ever know until you get ill

Depends on how light I want to go,
If I want to mega light I'll live of peanuts and cashews. In winter or if I want a comfy session I'll normally go with a barbecue one night ribs or wing normally and burgers and pastys
I use to make proper posh meals but now I just cant be bothered

I probably could but in the heat of summer not sure I fancy a 3 day old sandwich that hasn't been in a cool box or bag

Thanks lads for all the advice ended taking a couple of fresh bits and bobs for the first evening.
Thanks for the advice on the tinned food. Went to Tesco and found there own Stockwell home brand chicken curry, expected that to be crap but tried it home and it's good. On the bank just added a packet rice and it made a cracking meal.
Bought some other tinned bits as well such as steak in gravy to have with some new potatoes, fingers crossed it's just as good.
Josh shepz... Jesus that's a hell of set up!

A tinned curry and packet rice from Aldi or Lidl is decent and can be kept for months un-refrigerated
I would never dream of going more than 24 hours without a good quality cool bag or cool box to keep in the car or in my swim
I always freeze my 2 litre bottles of water instead of ice packs keeps my food and bait safe from the heat and we all know beer and water tastes better ice cold on a hot day

Just got 5 pot noodles 50p each from Asda.
Say what you want I like em!

I spend more time worrying about what I'm going to eat for 48hrs then anything else
Normally have a bean chilli for 1st night (make batches of it and freeze it down)
scrambled egg and smoke salmon for breakfast
decent soup for lunch
tuna fillet and salad fro evening
museli for last brekkie
sandwich later on
and more sweets then is normally good for me
Love working out what Im going to eat as much as anything else
