Thanks for advise mate I bought 3 x 12ft 3lb tx2 haven't used them on the bank yet but I went to a local field to test it out with a bare lead on very nice, well impressed with it.

How are people finding these rods?
Looking at the 12ft 3.25 so they can be used for solid bags etc if needed.
Would the 3.25 still be nice to play fish on or a bit of a broom stick

Just bought a set of these (13ft intensity) they look and feel great. Best factory made rod I've purchased by far!!!!
Quick question, all of the tip sections have minor marks on them?? They look like little chips/scratches in the carbon but they're not deep and look like they maybe common considering they're on all 3??? I can't work out if the tip sections are varnished (dony think they are)....... I'm just hoping it is common and wont affect the rods in the future. Anyone seen anything similar in there's??? Cheers.

I'm looking to buy 3 TX2 rods in 12' and need to decide whether 3.00 or 3.25 TC.
These will be paired with Shimano XTR-A LC medium baitrunners.
Maximum distance fished to date is 80 yards but it would be good to be able to get to 100 yards.
I'm using 3 oz leads and my current 2.75 TC rods get me there with a hook bait but if I add a small PVA mesh with a few boilies I don't get there and recently adopted using small PVA bags and I was worried about giving it too much welly with a weight approaching 5 ozs.
Local Angling Direct suggested some people buy 2 @ 3.00 and 1 @ 3.25 but I'm thinking I would prefer 3 rods at the same TC.

I use to love mine before I got my free spirits very nice rods bud, my freind loves his that much that when he sold his and got some free spirit e class golds he actually sold the free spirits and went back to the tx2 very decent rods for the price range

i use the 12 foots in 3.25tc and i think its the perfect all round for what i need at this time. can easily put a lead/bag 100yard but still has the softness when playing a fish and great at absorbing the lunges. to be honest for the price they are the best rods i have bought , the only time they are not used is when I'm on a smaller lake and the 9fts come out but tx2's are well worth the money !
