Rob Green at meadow lake has moved our cancelled April trip to August, which considering the circumstances I think is quite a decent thing to do. I did ask him if he was doing refunds originally but I think this is more than adequate as nobody Is guilty of blame. Now direct ferries i am having a serious problem with, I'm struggling to even get a reply regarding our cancelled crossing!!

Rob has always been a reasonable guy, good result for you and good luck with the ferry company! Never heard of them until I read your message, so obviously they are an agency not a ferry company, as I said good luck m8! Just been looking at the various companies providing transport to France, P & O taking bookings even from tomorrow and no mention of Covid 19 and the restrictions in France or am I looking at the wrong website, unbelievable!

Thanks David. Yes direct ferries are an agency, we sail with brittany ferries but booked through d.f. They said organising an amendment wouldn't be a problem but we shall see!! Yea Rob has been nothing but helpful and understanding in what has otherwise been an absolute s#$t show!!!

Even if there are no further extensions it will be July or August at best until travel across the boarders of Europe are back to normal. Just in time for the French holidays!

There's still an outside chance that my June 6th trip would still be on then.....

Borders are open mate - the borders are not the issue and as far as I can see never have been. It's the restrictions on travelling that are stopping anyone getting to their French venues.

You also have the problem with camping being banned at the moment. This would apply to biyying up around a lake.

From what I see last night they said there's a very good chance the borders will be closed to holiday makers for most of this year

At least it will all be over in France by the end of August. They have moved the tour de France to 29th I believe so they must know something we don't.

I'll put my head on the black and say nobody from the UK will be visiting France for a carp fishing trip in 2020, unless an effective vaccine is made PDQ!
