Really? Fair enough, I think it's always a very handy feature of any alarm to know what way the line has moved. Maybe it's just me!

It's actually the one thing that puts me off the rx+ if I could turn it off and just have the one tone drop back or not then maybe I would have them as a second set of alarms.
Every alarm beeps drop back or normal run so as soon as you get a drop back it makes a noise get up and look at the alarms like the rest of us? Most of us actually look at the alarms when they make a noise I don't need a tone to tell me it's a drop back

But if you are asleep in your bivvy you won't be looking at rods!!!
If it drops back once then you probably won't bother going out
Nobody is saying this is an essential feature but I think it's worthy at least

Spot on, so many times I've been woken with a liner and not bounced out the bivvy as you know exactly what's going on. My mates on the other hand are often racing to their rods just in time to see the bobbin settling back where it started. It tells you far more instantly.

I like how I can tell which way my lead has been moved,three bleeps forward two back I know my leads been moved away from me and vice versa.If I know I have been done and the lead has moved off the spot I bring it in and check everything over.

But you won't get one bleep with a drop back, your get at least 3/4 with a drop back so yeah I would be up out the bivvy, not saying it's pointless just something I wouldn't want and I would rather be without, when fishing next to my mate who has them in strong wind and rain it genuinely drives me nuts with the sound constantly, I do fancy a change from my delkims txi ds I've had them since they come out and I get bored quickly with my gear but my mates rx+s put me off buying them

Seek a set of these on tha Bank on the wind other day and they were none stop beeping even on the least sensitivity. Was very odd as you couldn't even see the indicator moving. Beep beep boop boop beep boop beep beep.
