Was the fire at the lake or the surrounding area?

I'm guessing that it was the surrounding area's, but as I remember from my last trip, Rainbow is surrounded by forests that come right to the back of many pegs. So it's bound to have had an affect on the lake, and for anglers to be evacuated from swims, it must be close.

The scenery is so beautiful and stunning, I dread to think what it looks like right now.

But thankfully nature always bounces back.

Blimey that looks bad, am I right in saying that it's not to close to the lake though?

Photo was taken at the start of fire. Then it came quite close. There was fb video of guys driving through the last bit of a path to the gate...one side completly burnt other untouched

Hi all,

Does anyone know what the water level is like ATM, I heard that they pumped quite a lot out to tackle the fires?

Have a look at Lee Morris stories on FB. He said yesterday that water is quite high...
Are you sure?
