You'd be shocked at the current state in the care sector... dangerous levels of understaffing, double shifts being worked by already exhausted staff, basic requirements for qualified nurses on floors / shifts not being met... like I said, the country stood by and let it happen
As for your different departments in hospital settings... they all use the same canteen / lift / loo ... an airborne virus doesn't obey ward restrictions...

True, guess those paper masks are useless then......
My daughter is out tonight on her first shift with the ambulance service......they gave her a mask that looks like something you would wear at Chernobyl........

Its all about the T cells Noj, those that have been infected will have some sort of immunity for life. T cells never forget a previous infection of any disease.
In other news some one has asked for a FOI on people registered of actually having died OF covid, its only upto Q3 21 but very interesting, id wager there's been more suicides'

some sort of immunity yes, can't be that good though as hasn't Wayne had it about 3 times already!?
BTW you know preexisting conditions includes stuff like diabetes, hypertension etc...that's a big chunk of the population...

Of course i do, but its still vastly different to what's being reported and what we are getting rammed in our faces every day for the last 2 years. I've seen the negative effect those and other reports have had on people. My healthy 65 year old MIL still rarely leaves the house through fear. she canceled christmas for 18 people on Christmas eve because she couldn't deal with the worry
I mean is not a couple of thousand out is it, even if that figure on the ONS link was 100k, there's still 75% more deaths being "reported"

Young lad I've been working with is thin fit and 23
He's in hospital right now with his 2nd infection.
A month or so ago I asked him about jabs. He said he wasn't sure about them.
He just wanted to give it longer. Especially as he had already caught it and didn't get very ill and didn't consider himself at any risk.
His Dad said he has been in since Sunday.

you say that Wayne but i hear about more people knowing a under 30 being in hospital, than ive heard about people saying they know someone thats died of covid

My point still stands though. And I admit it's very anecdotal but, Ive heard of more young people ending up in hospital than the one person Ive heard of dying (my next door neighbours friend).
For something that doesn't affect the young (under 45s) I've heard a lot of people ending up in hospital
I'm pretty sure you have said you don't know anyone to have died, but you've ended up in hospital yourself, have you or anyone you know ended up in hospital for flu?
