any one selling stuff......avoid using Evri couriers.......lost or stolen my parcel....sent from Sheffield to Chichester 10 days ago on next day delivery.....still not turned up......keep telling me its in the depot.....so just bloody deliver it then......contains 2 new carp books and a set of 3 Stow indicators.....must be a carp angler in Chichester.......will never use them again!!
ps still nothing except a non commital 'we are looking for your parcel and we will let you know sometime in the future'

I think Evri the rebranded Hermes. They always had a terrible reputation under that name.

Can't speak highly enough about Evri. Ordered about £100's worth of stuff from a supplier and Evri "delivered" it at 9:30 p.m. The following morning I was running around the garden with a torch looking for it in case they left it somewhere but not to be found. Complained to the supplier and they immediately re-reimbursed me. A couple of days later it turned up! Dare say that Evri footed the bill for that one!

Evri formerly hermes are awful. My mate owns a brand and swore by dpd but they've gone the same way and is moving to ups because dpd lost £2,000 worth of parcels in a short time and argued responsibility

They all have issues,the lady that delivers for Evri to my house is superb,DPD local to me are the worst by a mile.The local branch of DOD sacked quite a few people not long ago because of how bad they were,UPS are one of the best but even they have some utter bellends that lie through their teeth about deliveries.I had them lie and said I had signed for a delivery when I hadn't,cctv proved I hadn't signed for it

I wouldn't use Evri, had an electrical item worth about £400 delivered by them, instructions by the sender were must be signed for and not left in safe place etc, got home to find it on my doorstep in full view of the road, lucky i'm honest. Also caught an Amazon delivery driver on our cctv stealing the lid from our recycling box, wtf.

My yodel guy is brilliant. Managed to get a ps5 when first released, and got a message through from game saying it was coming from yodel. Never thought I was going to see that. But turned up as expected, and no issues since
Problem with delivery drivers, is they are overworked and underpaid for how much effort it requires. Sorting 150 parcels first thing in the morning. Searching for at least 10 around the warehouse that aren't where they are supposed to be. £1 a delivery for the well paid ones. Nothing if people aren't home. 2 minutes per delivery. Traffic is your problem. Nothing paid for collections, which can amount to a lot. Did it for a few weeks last year so have a new found appreciation for them. No need to lie or steal though admittedly.
Oh, and any parcels that go missing after delivery, the driver is responsible for

The other ones to watch for is the umbrella firms that have a discounted deal with a lot of the couriers.
One of these is Parcel Hero, a really cheap, nasty bunch of ****s to deal with. These companies offer a slightly cheaper rate than going direct to the couriers because they bulk buy their business, taking a slice of the profit.
The problem with these companies is that in the event of something going wrong, although the courier may be UPS, DPD etc the claim is with the booking company. They have a set of claims guidelines which are virtually impossible to get a claim accepted. They broke an item of mine. It got stuck in the system and spent the weekend in the sorting warehouse which is never a good outcome. The person I posted it to told me it was broken and sent pictures to prove it. I contacted Parcel Hero who were very dismissive. I asked it to be forwarded to their claims department ( that's a laugh in itself, as it is a small fly by night outfit and the claims department is probably the building security guard or cleaner). They acknowledged my mail and asked for pictures, they then refuted my claim and stated the old chestnut that after careful investigation and consideration they had found the cause was “insufficient packaging” which was total ********. I checked the email times and between receiving the pictures and replying was 3 minutes - so much for careful investigations and consideration. They then just refuse to engage with you and that's it.

If it doesnt fit in my letter box, my postman makes no attenpts with neighbours, as said below leaves a card with no details on, and if he does leave details and it goes to the sorting office, im ****ed if i can use that cause they only open 4 hours a day and its while im at work. They should be made to work evenings and move into the modern world

I now refuse to purchase from any company who uses Evri after they 'lost' a pair of trainers I ordered before Christmas. In the end got a refund direct from JD Sports after Evri continued to lie to me about their whereabouts.
My favourite is DPD though, I like the fact that they give you a window of when the driver is going to turn up so you don't have to wait around all day.

Dpd give you that delivery window but if its late in the day they drive passed the end of your street and **** off back to the local depot
