Looking for a bivy and not sure what would be best! im 6ft 4 tall so normal size bivy no good as dont want to be ducking down in bivy when sat up on bedchair!
The nash hide pro in xl looks good and super fast to put up and around £430 for the camo! better price than the fox frontier xd thats like £590 or camo at £800
is the fox better bivy for the extra money!

Just bare in mind the Nash titan hide xl camo your only getting the main shelter and pegs and carry bag for that £430 the groundsheet is an extra to buy as is the waterproof zip on front or Mozzi front if you want them for the hide xl camo pro . But if you buy the frontier XD your getting a complete bivvy with the groundsheet full zip on front , pegs , storm poles and carry bag in with the price of £590

so looking at that then buddy! the nash hide xd pro camo with extras is going to cost around same as none camo frontier xd with everything! Cannot see wy the camo frontier is £800 +
not paying extra £200+ for camo on frontier though
like the nash magnetic rod holder straps and the front fold up part on groundsheet of frontier xd so not putting muddy boots on groundsheet when in bivy

I've got the Nash and my mate has the frontier.
Both amazing bivvies and I guess it's down to 1 factor, weight and pack down size.
The fox is alot bigger pack down and weighs more.

I've just recently got a frontier X after selling my tempest 100T which before that replaced a titan hide XL I no they ain't the bivvies you have mentioned but close enough, the nash was my least favourite the build quality was just rubbish on mine. I liked the tempest which I would definitely use again but the frontier is really good I've only used it once but so far I think it's brilliant only time will tell if it last and is built as well

Have to agree with the build quality on the frontiers! Very well made and nice material.
I guess it all depends what you want it for? 24/48hrs or proper camping sesh without moving that much.

Aint to fussed about weight on this bivy as going to be for few days/week sessions and not the sort to keep packing up to chase the fish to be honest! may just put extra a go frontier xd to be honest

I have the Frontier XD with the camo mesh infill, vapour peak and overwrap (pictured) and I have to say that it's an awesome piece of kit. I'm 6-2, the door height is 165cm, so there's no way you'll be crouched down sat on your bedchair. I have never had the Nash model mentioned so I can't really talk about that. However personally speaking, I love the adaptability of the Frontier XD and its ability to suit different situations. I was out last week in mine and the weather was all over the place, heavy rain one minute, glorious sun shine the next. I was able to throw the wrap on in a few minutes when rain arrived and take it off and open the windows on it when it was baking. The oversized bag carries everything. For me on my own its perfect, its got enough room to get my essentials in - bags, boat, rucksack, etc and its very well made.
With everything in the bag, I'm not going to lie, it weighs a ton, must be easy 25-30kg with the extras mentioned above, however I use a motorised barrow so its less of a concern.
Personally I've never regretted it and when I see the thing up, I do think that its a bit of class.

I had the Hide Pro Xl and got rid of it. Great shape etc but thought the pole ends were fragile and susceptible to wear. Also had horrendous condensation even with the door open and no overwrap available. Bought the Frontier X which is a different league for build quality and materials. The XD is a far bigger bivvy than the Nash hence why I chose the X version. I realise that you want the additional height of the XD. Only downside to the Frontier is the weight and packed length which doesn't bother me.

I purchased the Frontier XD this year as I'm tall and struggle with my back and I must say it's a great bit of kit. I couldn't be happier with mine!

I'm 6ft 3 and suffer very badly with my back the frontier X is plenty big enough for me to get in and out of, plus the bivvy has loads of room for everything you could need in it, I did see the XD on a lake near me and it's massive was to big for what I needed but if you need/ want a lot of room then that's fine but I can get loads in mine already you would need to take some serious amount of kit to need the XD
Went with a fox frontier xd with vapour peek i got for £600 so happy with that

I was in the same position as you so I ended up buying the frontier xd with all the bits and the hide camo pro with front and g/sheet £1500 later problem solved.🤣🤣I am happy with both though
