It's nearly time to respool for my spring / summer water . What's everyone's best way of striping existing line without doing the peeling off by hand method ?

Thats what I use,I have the line going into a bag and it takes seconds to empty your spools

I'm still using an ACE tackle spool stripper which just plugs into a hand held gun drill.

I use my power drill with a plastic bottle fixed on a 6mm threaded rod. If you are careful you can do multiple reels at the same time, I've done three at the same time on several occasions, set them up on the butt section of rods leaned up against a wall with the line through the butt ring about 6 to 8 feet from the drill, grab hold of the line with one hand, drill in the other and guide the lines onto the bottle.
Alternatively if you don't have a drill, just wrap your line around distance sticks, remove the sticks and gather up the line, much quicker than by hand.

Whatever anyone does please please cut the line into small pieces. It's lethal to animals
