Hi all,
I've had a tracker levelite bed chair for a number of years. Knowing technology changes rapidly I'm considering purchasing another, more comfortable?
What are your recommendations or would you stick with what I have? One other point is that I have a trakker tempest advance 100 bivvy so wouldn't want a bedchair that takes up all the room inside!

Trakker oval levelite v2 or tall, i have the tall tried around 8 bedchairs, matrass is personal build quality the Trakker Oval levelite and Solar Ch08/sp range are top.
with an Oval bed you also gain a lot of space, with a standard bed I can put 2 extra bedchairs in our trakker bivvy with the Oval bed 3 extra bedchairs.

I can recommend the Avid benchmark X. SS. It fits in my dual layer brolly system ok with plenty of room out front for other sruff. It's very comfy, so comfy in fact, I sometimes reel in so as not to be disturbed. LOL.

Solar sp c tech is the best bed I have used,the build quality is far better than the trakker els I had

You cant compare the Els with the Oval levelite
Both the Solar sp/ch08 and Trakker oval levelite are top builded bedchairs, pick the one that have the best matrass for your back/side, if you want extra space in you bivvy then the Oval is the one to go for.

I have the Solar SP C-Tech Bedchair. The best out there in my opinion in terms of build quality. Not really light but not too bulky or heavy that it can't be carried. Squeezed mine into a 50 inch wychwood brolly on a couple of ovrnighters, however I would recommend a standard size or a 60 inch brolly for a better fit.

Solar sp c tech bedchair is a serious piece of kit. I couldhave it as an actual bed. The only thing that I don't like about my c tech is the suede outer, once it gets wet it stays wet, that's a minor issue though for the comfiness of it

The Avid bedchairs are miles ahead of everything else in terms of comfort for me. I tried all the bedcharis they had at the last show I went to and the Avid was miles ahead of any of the Trakker, Solar and Fox offerings. Admittedly this was a few years ago now so I couldn't comment on any of the bed's released in the last couple of years.

Another for the solar SP C-tech bedchair. Been using a JRC Coccoon for 20 years and now I've changed to Solar, I have seen the light!

Ive owned an avid bed and it wasnt as well made and not as comfy as my solar c-tec bed. It was very comfy but the build quality was crap compared to my solar bed.

I have the Fox Flatliner Sleep Sysytem MK 2 in 3 season and its the best I have ever had. A tad heavy if carrying but it is one of the most comfortable and stable bedchairs I have had. It has spring lock leg system also which makes it a doddle on uneven ground.

That's interesting, I was impressed by the Solar bed and it did look well built. For me though the Avid was much better for comfort. I have had mine about 3 years now and still seems to be ok but time will tell I guess!

same for me. i have the avid memory foam one.. comfy but bits fall of it from time to time. suspect build quality

I've been using an ELS for many years and been very happy with it. It's now getting a bit battered so may be time for a change. I sleep a mixture of back and side so would like something that stays firm but not rock hard. My Trakker is 88cm wide, I've looked at the Solar and they are 80cm or 98cm which seems either narrow or wide.
