I had a weekends social on there a few years back and really enjoyed it. Nice little place with some cracking fish.
I think there were 5 of us and that left plenty of room to move if required. Car park end is shallow, far end is deeper and fairly silty. We fished in a baking hot July and pretty much everything we caught came from the deeper end on harder spots amongst the silt.
Some good stalking opportunities around the back of the island. One of the lads saw the biggun along there a few times during our trip.
I believe it's changed a fair bit since I went. Much more modern facilities and finishing touches etc.

going in 10 days exclusive for 4 nights so will let you know .Been before blanked but it was freezing and none stop downpours .I did like the place hence giving it another go

Sorry mate just noticed message .Whilst we were there there were fish at both ends of the lake but only seemed to be feeding on the first few pegs in the weed and believe it was the same the week before .lad had a couple peg 3 on far margin couple of rodlengths back to 36lb the other lad had 4 lost 2 peg 2 but fishing 1s water it was quite weedy there .Initially we went with small popups which seems to be the norm on there but after 2 days blanking we switched to double 18 and 20 mm bottom baits and had 10 runs between 3 of us although fishing conditions did become very good .I have found this so many times big baits working doing the opposite to most people .3 30s and 3 20 s the mirrors were stunning

Hi mate, currently in “Big Carp Corner”, seen a few yesterday, but all in the upper layers, quite weedy where I am. No fish yet, but had a savage liner last night. Nothing has been out since I've been here.

Yes it's a tricky place we had nothing for 2 days then it switched on out of the blue for 24 hours or so then off again .Fish were also mostly on top in the day .There were lots at top end we tried stalking them but weren't interested.Nothing came fro far end they all came from weedy areas at the near end .Found some less weedy little spots with raymarine echo and that's where the fish came from .

Well had a great 3 nights, only 3 fish out during my stay, all low doubles. Had one on the second night and thought I was in for a few last night, but to no avail. Weed came up really quickly during my stay, but as you said, found a few small areas and presented there.

Lovely water, well run and sensible rules. There are crayfish in there that can be a nuisance, especially around the island. Whilst it says no nuts, you can use as a hookbait. I caught from in the edge, but the fish do show. Nice facilities too.
The vending machine selling cold cider/beer is a nice touch.
