Had one of their new pods turn up a week or so ago...it's got wobbly legs. Essentially the epoxy (guessing it's an epoxy) that they use to join the carbon stem of the inner rod to the head which threads onto the leg joint on the main body is loose and wobbles from side to side. Also, the stem that you attach the leg has a hex bolt which kept coming loose, which I fixed with some threadlock.
The question I'm asking, do I bell up JAG direct, or go through the seller which was Vale Royal Angling?
Got to be honest here, I'm really disappointed with all of this when you think how expensive this stuff is. Why didn't they turn down solid ally bar to make the bar insert instead of glued carbon, it's beyond me. I suppose the carbon *looks* fancy, could be that an ally bar would get scratched up and loose it's pleasing appearance? All in all, I'm pretty peeved to say the least.

If you are that disappointed with it why not just send it back? Distance selling rules allow this .

Because it's a ballache sending gear back. Since I've also got their buzzer bars, to get rid of it and buy something.decent is going to cost an absolute fortune.

That's why I was interested in the stuff because of their pedigree and also made in Blighty.
Because of the downward pressure put on the legs, I foresee this as a problem going forward because of the two different bonded materials. Maybe the Epoxy they're using isn't that great or not enough of it - my legs inner shaft has now come clean out of the screwable head. From what I gather Araldite 2015 is supposed the strongest bond; I'm sure others will chime in later and possibly correct that.
Something else: where the legs join onto the main body, they should have made the joints articulate like the new Solar pods currently do. You can make them articulate (£100 for 4 MKII Tippers) but the Tippers are nowhere near as good as the Solar design as they don't lock tight.
Not a moan or a gripe, just my observations.

sounds like you've made your mind up the pods not for you, why not just get a refund from the shop and buy the pod that suits your needs...we all like different things and styles...saves you selling it and losing money in the mong run to change pods....Good luck with whatever you decide is best for you, either way I'm sure jag and their customer service will sort you whatever you choose. 👍

I'll doubt I'll be able to get my money back as some of the insides of the pegging points have lost some paint where I've pegged them down.
If solar had a black ally version of their P1 I would have bought that. What peaked my interest was the JAG's pegging points. In retrospect, the pod is really ment for fishing from platforms, not from knarley pits with crap swims where you have to sometimes setup in the water. It can be done, but long enough legs works out to around £240 (Excavator's - normal ones would be pony) plus 4 Tippers to articulate the legs...£100 + pod £230 something or other and two buzzbars £135 or there abouts. Lots and lots of lolly.
