There's loads of threads on here about their stuff. It's no worse than anyone elses. It comes out of the same factory as trakker.

Just be careful and ask before you order to make sure you will get what you want!
I ordered a DPM4 Typhoon skull cap a few weeks ago and what turned up was a DPM4 MH (max headroom) skull cap in Ripstop. I didn't even try it and contacted them to be told that the Typhoon shares the same skull cap with the MH and the Ripstop is an "upgraded" material....(in their opinion of course).
Begs the question then why it doesn't state on their website that it is in fact Ripstop and also, what's the bets that the Storm DPM skull cap, (at £89.99. not £109.99) is not exactly the same one? That is 210D fabric and the skull cap for the Typhoon is also listed as 210D.....

I have been cotemplating between a Typhoon & a Storm. so i could save myself some money with the storm and end up getting the same material? only thing is the potential difference in the block (composite or aluminium)

Seen a few and there blocks don't look good enough to last. Too much movement with the 3 front poles

Have a look at the Quest Defier bivvy. For me it's that one, the new Fox or maybe the new Korda one.

Going to go against the fashion here and wouldn't touch it myself
A very good friend of mine bought the typhoon when it first come out form what I've seen I would never buy cyprinus if it was my money, badges up side down, the pegging points came off the bivvy on the second trip. The storm poles are awful aswell I honestly don't believe that they come out the same factory or at least the same production line as Trakker/aqua I've never seen half the problems he has had on any of them and I don't care what people say about it I the quality control must be rubbish
Just pay the extra for the tempest he has replaced his typhoon with a tempest now

Apart from some of the early stuff....which WAS rebadged aqua and tracker stuff, the rest just looks very average to me.

I've been using my typhoon since March and I cannot fault it. Its stable has rear vents, zip in ground sheet which I really like, vapour shield, and 20,000 hh all for £400 delivered. Its basically a tempest with an aluminium block instead of plastic one and a tiny bit different to set up. Did your friend take pictures of all these faults you mention and can you post them on here so we can see them.

I've got it in writing, directly from Cyprinus themselves, that they share the same production facilities as Trakker. I can also confirm that it's not just early stuff that was the same, I bought a tempest skull cap from cyprinus only a couple of months ago and it turned up In a trakker box.
