Under the skull cap there is never any condensation in my experience and I fish all year round in all weather.

I personally think the wrap is a better option, it folds down so small and its under a minute to put on, doors can be peeled back I wasn't keen on the skull cap if I'm honest.

Ive got skull cap and the wrap for mine and I totally echo the comments below the skull cap is fine but the wrap is just as simple and takes minutes to add as opposed to leaving the cap on when 80% of the time its overkill, thoughit does look carpy to have a skull cap which obviously is more important

Don't bother with mine 90% of the time, condensation without the cap is minimal anyway, never understood why so many people get so bent out of shape about it.

I have a tempest Bivvy
and found the skull cap makes a huge difference in the summer keeps it so much cooler and colder temps stops condensation dont know why anyone would ever take it off mine stays on permanently

Have one on my bivvy and brolly, doesn't do any harm, certainly has no draw backs and the extra coverage helps. No reason to take it off so I make use of it.

The only draw back I found with the skull cap I had on my air was ....... it's probably best not to leave it on in 30 mph plus winds 🤷♂️

Had mine out my V2 bivvy with skullcap on at the end of last year in the big winds, 40MPH plus with no problems. As stated they reduce condensation whee they cover but below this it condensates. But as with all tents and bivvies don't touch the sides and it causes no problems. I also don't use a groundsheet so that may cause the lower condensation?

As already mentioned the skull cap really helps with reducing the heat in the summer.
So it's a win win condensation reduction and heat reduction.

Ok so I've managed to source a skull cap.. do you guys leave it fitted when you pack down? I've left mine attached but I'm a bit worried about the three front poles making a hole in the bivvy.
I'm wondering whether to just remove it each session as it only takes a minute to fit.

I always take mine off. In summer i only use it when its raining or likely to rain but it only takes a few seconds to put on , through the colder months i always use it it doesn't cure condensation but it does help.
