Has anyone else used the baitworks corkball kit? I made a trial batch a couple of weeks ago and tested it in a glass over night, can't say I'm overwhelmed with the results, but want to give them another go.
I rolled about 2-3mm of paste on a dry cork ball and boiled for 50s, dried in the open for 48hrs, have them a spray and put them in a pot for a couple of weeks. They smelt great, but cracked slightly when I put a needle through yesterday.
This morning I've checked on them, and the paste was pretty much a wet mess and falling off the cork.
Any ideas or tips appreciated?
Thank you.

Contact the guys @ Baitworks... they should get back to you.
As a side note - I think you will get the best out of a corkball by tying it on with floss...
Putting a needle through them will allow water to get at the thin layer of paste.

Try soaking the balls in egg yolk, a few hours is fine. Helps the paste stick to the cork better.

Could be part of the problem? Too many bits?

First mistake is piercing them with a needle. Second you want 2mm max around the corkball. Then don't over boil them, gently simmer instead.

Also worth meshing them in tights once air dryed the give them a glaze with the booster. Soaks into the mesh and bait and they will never come or the covering break up
