Had the explorer barrow for 2 years. The tyre completely split open and the inner tube bubbled out this week on route to my peg. Normally this is due to over inflation but i felt it was a bit soft if anything. Anyway the rubber on the fox tyres is really thin only a couple of mm and obviously very cheap quality. I spoke to a guy in the next peg as i borrowed his explorer barrow to continue to my peg and he said his explorer tyre did exactly the same thing. He had got a replacement wheel from fox.....
I contacted fox and none in stock until mid august wtf, great service... ... maybe they have so many tyres blow up they have run out of replacements.
Anyway, i have an old Mk 2 barrow that I'd bought a prestige solid rubber replacement tyre and wheel for from prestige a while back. Ive put this on the explorer barrow forks and with the Mk 2 bearings and a couple of extra washers it fits perfect. Job done. Fox can stick their crappy ones.

That's rather spooky I was going start a thread asking if the Mk2 puncture proof wheels fit the fox explorer as my mates has given up the ghost on the valve.Which wheel is it you have as there seems to be two online.One with a metal green center and one with a black plastic center

Mine is the black plastic centre with a smoother wheel with groves running around it (as opposed to tthe one. With a knobbly track on it)

I have a prestige puncture proof wheel on the explorer barrow, just pack out with washers to fit. works a dream

No,that appears to be a new one prestige have brought out, I'd imagine it will still fit, its cheaper than the one i bought a few years ago

I have just fitted that one about half an hour ago and it fits absolutely perfect.I used two spacers that came in the box it fits in the frame does not touch the bag and it's a little bit bigger so seems easier to push.Mine said delivery would be 19th-23rd but it came this morning so very good service too.Very happy indeed

Ive just taken a puncture proof wheel off my explorer - couldn't take the shocks it put through the handles.
got a replacement from fox and a big bottle of tyre slime - no problems now
if anyone with a thumb wants a puncture proof wheel, let me know.

Yeah I have put tyre slime in my fox tyre the one recommended by fox when I emailed them and so did my mate and his tyre has just given up on him.This prestige one with metal inner does not feel too solid but not too spongy either like one I bought from keto plastics.Hopefully it will be just what I have been after.Im tempted try the prestige handles with crossbar next just not sure if they will fit
