Is there any latest info on dovecote on the blunham angling ticket.... Is blindeye still alive I've recently moved to Bedfordshire and been told about this pit, I once seen a pic in carp talk of blind eye incredible carp..

Definitely been dead since 2017 at the latest, possibly 2016 but pretty sure it was 2017. I saw a picture of it dead in Dec17(or what was left of it)

Sluggy said its still in there, I don't know as I am not from round there just passing on info I got, I hope its still alive but I know them otters have been on there from what I am told from friends who fish there 👍 🎣

Well there's a group of lads joined this year to try catch it, think they have to wait till June, no waiting list and cheap so I suppose they will find out 👍 you from round there then

Yes I am, also got friends who fish it and who have fished it in the past, and know the bailiff who actually lives there. It used to come out fairly regularly, a massive corpse was found on the bank, badly eaten but definitely a fish of that size, and it hasn't been caught since. So unless there was an unknown 50lber in there which had never been caught, and one eye has suddenly got clever, then it's dead.

Still some good fish in there, but the big one isn't. It had what looked like otter damage on its tail in the last catch picture I saw of it, then a few months later the corpse turned up. There were actually multiple otters there at the same time, they moved between dovecote and the bird reserve next to it. Brazen buggers too, weren't in the slightest bit bothered by people being there.

Anybody know how busy this venue is on a Friday afternoon.
I don't mind just fitting In but is a long way for me if every swim is occupied 24/7.
I only get every other Friday night for my fishing these days and liked the price of this ticket.Any info would be much appreciated.cheers

If you get there early enough you should get on. Not really any pattern to it. Iv been up there visiting a mate midweek and there are no swims available, and at a weekend where he's pretty much the only one on(although that is very rare). If you can't get on they do have another couple of pits on the complex too
