My bivvy carryall / bag that came with my tempest air several years ago has finally given up . Can anyone please recommend a decent quality replacement that will take my tempest , ground sheet , pegs / poles etc . I need it reasonably sized so that it's not bursting at the seams. Don't mind paying a little more if it's going to last , thanks.

I replaced my tempest brolly bag with an oversized bag from Army Andy and it's quality. Think it was £45 with postage? I can get the brolly, pegs, groundsheet, cap wrap, solid front and mozzi fronts in it if needs be

Thanks for that . I need one with enough room as I think stuffing my current one with skull cap etc has finally destroyed the stitching . Has army Andy got a website so I can see some pictures/ dimensions etc , thanks?

I had an Army Andy one. No complaints about the workmanship but it was ill thoughout. The ends were just flat stitched. What it needed was a round panel sewn in each end to make all the space inside useable. I suggest if you order one from him to make sure that is specified unless he has worked that out himself from feedback.

I had Army Andy make me an extra large one for my Tempest bivvy
I wanted it extra big so if it was pissing down when I had to pack up I could just bundle the bivvy up and drop it quickly and easily into the bag this has worked superbly and the next morning I have taken the bivvy out to dry it and tipped all the water out of the bag and dried it in the line
the material Andy uses its amazing super strong that will last a lifetime personally I would not want the ends rounded I like the extra room I used to put my old oval in there too

For me there is a lot more useable room in a tube than an envelope but each to their own.

what an earth are you talking about mine is nothing like a envelope
this is it with a Tempest bivvy and groundsheet and scull cap and a large bivvy mat
and the ends YOU want rounded I can put a plastic bag with spare clothes inside or spare shoes etc and it wont be like a sausage in a skin either big smile but as you said each to their own.

Most bivvy bags are like that but I had a fox bivvy once with the round ends and I must admit it did seem to go in alot easier and had more room for other bits

I'm sure he will know the sizes but you may want it bigger than what he makes as his standard size.If you Message him he is really helpful

Thanks for that . I had looked at the Cotswold Aquarius ones but while I don't mind paying for a decent quality one the Cotswold one did seem a bit pricey .

Have to say rounded ends or some sort of box design bag would be my preference as well. Likely to push the cost up though as more work involved.

I agree, Army Andy has made quite a few things for me including a new bivvy bag and have never hadv a problem with any of them

Must admit army Andy's look impressive . I noticed when looking through his photos that some have a strap and clip at each end . Do people find this useful to compress everything, thanks?

I find the straps ok. Obviously they only compress that area but I always still clip the straps on and pull them tight
