What's the best Bite alarms + receiver set for around the £100 mark give or take? I was looking at the JRC Rader CX Alarn Set 3+1 multi led alarms but then saw a few comments on here about they are too sensitive at night and will beep for a long time or something? Any ideas of what I could get for my money guys?

I have a set of JRC Radar CX alarms and its got a sensitivity adjustment really good alarms with no issues
BUT! requires more than 2 brain cells to adjust them
I also have a set of the Prologic Bat+ Bite Alarms they are also far better than the price suggests
buy either set and it will do everything you want a bite alarm to do in any weather as good as alarms costing 4 times the price
one thing worth noting there is not an alarm made that some people will slag off some people just dont know how to adjust them for different conditions

Only thing you can fault the JRC Radars on is the extended first bleep on the remote
It makes it seem way more than just the single bleep it is
If that makes sense Other than that pretty darn good alarms

Yes I'd have to agree But no worse than the old fox they replaced

I think it's only the standard receiver that does the long bleep. On the Deluxe receiver they sorted it as far as I know

Over budget but Fox Mini Micron X gets my vote.
3 Alarms and a receiver can be had for £120/150 on ebay and they blow any budget alarm out of the water in my opinion.

I cant agree with that ! what budget alarms have you used then ?
as I have owned and used practically every make of alarm made since the Heron bit alarms and I agree the Mini Micron X are good alarms but I would say the Prologic Bat+ Bite Alarms are a better bet
but like all things we all have opinions but sweeping statements about budget alarms are miss leading

You must admit though that a bit of luck is required with budget alarms as they can be prone to failures
My advice would be to go down the second hand ATT route as they can be picked up quite cheaply and are (in my experience) very reliable. If you do have issues they can be repired quickly and cheaply as well which is something you would struggle to get with cheap alarm sets.

Fox MR +, had most types of alarms over the almost 60 years I have been carp fishing including the most expensive ones on the market up to about 2002. 3 years ago having started back carp fishing in the UK I bought a set of 3 MR+ alarms and the receiver, never had any issues with them. Over your budget price but not by much.

Anyone tried any of the New Direction alarms? Always see them on amazon and seems good reviews but I don't know whether to trust reviews from there...

I have the NR1's, had them a few months and really like them so far.
USB chargeable, I charged them when I bought them and still showing over half charge, I use them a lot as well so excellent battery life.
Led colour is easily changed although they are slightly dim, they don't latch very long either, the only minor niggle I've found. Each head is easily paired with which ever colour you want on the receiver.
The tone, volume and sensitivity for each alarm can all be changed individually from the receiver. The receiver has a small digital display that controls everything, shows all battery statuses etc.
All settings can be easily changed at any time.
Has a range test option, switch it on and walk away and you can see the receiver signal falling, I've tested upto a couple of hundred yards and still didn't lose all signal.
The are tiny, light and have magnetic quick release.
I actually prefer them over my Fox RXs.
All that for £110 posted for 3 and receiver, fantastic value

I decided to order the Sonik SKS bite alarms and receiver due to a lot of good reviews on the Internet. Fingers crossed I'll be happy with them when they turn up 🤞

Microns and an ATTX System. Best of both worlds
I think for your budget, there are few options in terms of reliability and longevity.
Personally, I wouldn't touch anything other than Fox/Delks/Gardner for bite alarms.

Im sure your alarms will be fine in todays world electronics in Alarms have come on in leaps and bounds ESPECIALLY in budget priced alarms
you will always get people that THINK if they are cheap they cant be anywhere near as good or reliable as Delkims or Fox

I had a set of delkim alarms but when they got stolen I just replaced with a set from Amazon and they have been perfect. £80 for a set of 4 + receiver compared to the £500+ for the delkim's.
