I am asking about the compact smaller one anyone use one I've got. A few speero bits so I am aware of the quality just never seen this rucksack feedback please

Moved from a Trakker 50L and have more room in the Speero compact!
Comfortable to wear. My only gripe is more velcro on the bank stick flap and maybe a way to limit how far down they go if you have long sticks.

I too was looking at this . I also have the trakker 50ltr but find there's things I take that I don't really need so thought with the speero being 45ltrs might be better . I already have the modular cool / cookware bag which I've had about 18 months and the quality is outstanding and still looks like new . The only thing I wasn't sure about was how comfy it would be .

Same here I have the ta one it's not that comfortable it's the most important thing in a rucksack how comfortable it is

I changed from ta to Speero,they are not even in the same league of comfort.The Speero gets comfier the more you use it as the padding on the rucksack seems to soften,just don't over tighten the waist strap when new as it feels like it digs in the bottom of your back

The speero isn't dissimilar to the thinking anglers rucksack shape wise . This is why I wasn't sure on comfort as I'd seen many reports of the ta rucksack being uncomfortable.

Really I didn't think from photos it looks anything like the ta one it's not the shape of the ta that's the problem it's the harness padding not long enough and the whole harness is to short

The Speero is more square than the ta one,the Speero has alot more padding on the back and on the harness.The straps are wider so it does not feel like it's digging into your shoulders either

Thanks. I thought they were a similar ‘ boxy ‘ shape which I assumed was the reason for being uncomfortable. I hadn't realised the reason was the straps . They do look very good so may put it on my wish list , thanks.

The Speero is wider than the TA,it sits on my back alot better.I just wished the Speero had a couple more grab handles like the TA one

I thought exactly that why didn't they put 2 lift handles on and maybe straps for a roll up mat and talking about the ta one I've had 3 mk 1 and camo now the new one which is a bit better and because straps are short I wrestle to get it on and as I said padding needed to be 2 or 3 inch longer to stop straps digging in my sides I was gutted as I really like them the mk 1 a camo was so uncomfortable had to get rid
The most comfortable rucksack I've ever used is the camo esp

I initially bought the normal speero rucksack, then the compact came out and I bought that 1 as I thought it would suit better,taking less gear etc...however I can't get on with the compact one, not sure if it's me (most probably) but I prefer something lthat goes lower down my back...ive been used to bergens when in the army...the compact takes me back to my training days with the old 58 pattern webbing and the large pack that came with it.

Is it uncomfortable are you saying it's a bad design As someone who has been in the army you would know better than anyone about rucksacks just interested what did you think of the ta one I am interested in your opinions

i thought it was going to ideal size etc but it sits too awkward for my liking, for others like has been discussed below they like it. I prefer the bigger speero rucksack...maybe it would need a bit more getting used to ut for now ill stick to the standard speero size .
