Does anyone have the trakker levelite lumbar bed? Looking for a first hand user review, I'm looking to couple it with a Snugpak/Fortis sleeping bag.

I recently purchased it and have paired it with a trakker 365 bag.
I'm really happy with it - the build quality is second to none.
It's also quite a wide bed, 87cm I think off the top of my head so it does carry a bit of weight, especially with the 365 bag on it.
Having said that the weight is no more than some of the other higher end beds out there. It may even be less.

I have one and use it as my main bedchair unless im travelling light for quick night session somewhere. Mine replaced my first levelite with paracord mid section. I find the lumber design far better than the older type but still has a comfy matress.
I also use it with a fortis sleeping bag which fits it well

Have a look at the solar sp c tech bedchair,the build quality is in a different league to trakker beds

Thanks mate, do you know if the bed is the same as the Oval apart from the shape. My local shop has the oval atleast I can then check it out there for comfort.

I think the mattresses differ slightly but I could be wrong.
Gooutdoors with a Fishing Republic tend to have them on display if you have one local.

In what way is the build quality "in a different league"?
I can see the Solar is shorter, narrower and heavier which maybe suggests the materials are heavier duty.

The frame is stronger,the hinges are alot thicker and the spring loaded legs feel alot more robust.I had the trakker els and now have the solar and it is far better in every way

Yes it will,due to the double hinges it will be fine.The only one thing I have added to mine is a little strap to go around it once folded.Solar only fitted the one clip and even though it is robust it's just not enough for me

I personally went for the levelite because I could get it brand new for 200 and a few pounds.
If I was to buy it at full price 300-350 I would of too gone for the solar SP C tech.

There needs to be a new age range classification for bedchairs.
18 to 30 - under 8kg ****ing uncomfortable 4" from the deck but ideal for that 2am stoned move in the dark.
30 to 50 - under 12kg comfy and looks the part, I know what I'm doing but can move If I want to, but i probably wont.
50+ - over 13kg comes with rubber sheet, aimed at electric barrow owners fishing disabled and car park swims, I'm not ****ing moving for 48 hours.
I'm in the latter

not used it yet due to health issues however when it arrived I opened it set it up in my lounge extended the legs to max then laid down on it on my back as thats how I sleep to see how it felt and woke up 4 hours later

I've owned and used a levelite Els fora few years now. I use it 2 nights every week.. It's a good bed and quite comfy and firm but it has sagged where I sit on it. Ive tightened the ropes underneath at least twice but still sagged.
I added a sim to it last year which improves comfort.

People seem to be comparing their trakker els which is completely different to the trakker lumber bed i have had both and imo the lumbar bed is far comfier. I needed a sim on the els but don't on the lumbar bed
If i was looking to buy again i would definitely look at the solar They look well made and i like the idea of the spring loaded leg system

I like the how firm my ELS original is when I bought it was over £300 and second time I used it was on a french trip did 27 straight nights on it with ZERO back problems
my bed prior to that was an indulgence would last 2 nights max before terrible back ache would kick in
I bought a Snugpak Techlite Sleeping Bag that only just fitted my ELS but as I suffer from claustrophobia I can never have the door down or my bag zipped and felt cold coming thru from my back on days when cold winds were blowing in so I bought the helium SIM this instantly cured the cold on my back and as a bonus the comfort went up too I would not have believed that possible TBH

Your back problems will be different to the next mans. One mans back issue can be related to problems in their legs, the next mans can be related to spinal issues in the neck, sod all to do with the bed.

If I lay on a soft bed that has no support in the lumbar region I will get chronic back pain
if I lay on a orthopaedic type firm bed no back pain what so ever
so IN MY CASE its got EVERYTHING to do with the bed
nobody is saying everyone needs or wants a hard bed ?
I think lots depend on how you sleep its hard to generalise but seems in a lot of cases not all !
people who sleep on their back prefer a firm bed side and front sleepers seem to prefer a softer bed

I'm a side sleeper but prefer a firm bed, I have a ELS. That said I stay in lots of hotels with lots of different beds that dont have much effect, probably because it takes the body time to adjust good or bad to the type of bed you sleep on. That said if you have a diagnosed chronic issue you'd notice right from wrong quicker than most.
