Always liked tripods, maybe because I like photography

apart from the tripod, I particularly like the gizmo that helps stop a buzz bar twisting/coming loose on a take

Yes I thought so too.
I'm sure theres a lot of inovation going on in mainland europe that we're missing out on, whereas apart from a few in the UK its all copycat regurgitated products

They're more for European tips high style fishing IMO. Not really practical for most UK waters, if you want your tips down low your rods end up at a crazy angle, and will get pulled off the alarms on the take.

Maybe although there a few tips down shots on the website, maybe needs a bigger splay to make it lower to the ground.
Reason I'm interested is I have a tip down preference for a few reasons
Prefer the line as low in the water as possible when practicable
1 water I fish is from platforms that have deep margins so avoids wiping out other rods when playing a fish
I dont like advertising where my spots are to any visitors
point the pod in one direction with tips under the water. Pod not neccessarily pointing towards my spots.
and you can always fish more euro style if you have a lot of marginal weed
If I designed one, the legs would not be each seperated at 120 degrees, i would have the 2 front legs slightly closer together, I think to aid stability to a forward pull, may well be well off the mark though.

I do like the look of them,ideal for rivers I had a cygnet grand sniper pod for my river fishing though when I lived in Southampton fishing the itchen for the carp that was more than ideal,love the look of them though

mmm , love the river Itchen, diverting my own post
Didn't realise I was walking by carp as well as trout and water voles when I did the length of the itchen from source to sea, highly reccomend to any downhill rivers walkers like me.
Was that below Winchester where its more canalised?

How do you work that out,you can tilt the frame and have them as low as any other set up

I've seen people using them and they're nightmare. The pivot point is too high so with your tips down the angle is so acute they'll get pulled off the alarms.

It was millbrook mate had a piike of 22lb on a boilie and numerous carp to 17lb from the swan pub to the canoe club

Awesome, what a heritage river, although probaly not as pure as can be unfortunatley due to the water companies. The watercress will save it I'm sure.

The Itchen
The Test, I have a nice pic of a 20 ish pike looking down from a bridge if anyone wants to help me post it.
The Thames (completed at the end of last year, my ultimate fave downhill walk )
The Hereward Way (not a river but a a brill walk (apart from one big road day) with loads of water along the way
Next year, doing some more walks with uphill bits, (the cotswold way)

Who said you have to fish with your tips down low? Everyone seems to do it but who told them to? People only do it because the next man does and they cant think for themselves .

One of the best things you can do in swims with known spots is changing the line angle as much as you can, tips up!!!!

A bigger splay would be more helpful to lower the centre of gravity.
I've cut the centre pole off my camera tripod for the same reason so I can take low shots of fungi in the autumn which is essentiallialy what these tripod pods do or should do a little more. I do like them though (maybe with a little more tweaks). bit different to the UK norm.
Still look an interesting proposition though IMO

Spent 2 decades fishing Eastern Europe and originally my fox quatro and later my fox ranger were regularly laughed at.
Tripods are are by far the most versatile pod systems there are, can't think of any situation they won't cope with or excell at.
Why I never bought one I don't know
Don't understand the low tip comments over any other system and why they aren't "fashionable" in the UK also bemuses me

Sadly I dont have any pictures of it anymore (hard drive died)
but for a couple of years fishing in Europe I used a rock solid Amiaud Peche Carpo tri pod it cost a lot of money the total with the curved 4 rod bars was around 850 Euros at the time but you could have the rods at ANY angle from pointing down to vertical and it was totally rock solid
here is a video of one skip ahead to the end to see what it looks like fantastic bit of kit I have also owned and used a Solar world wide with the global extension kit thats a great bit of kit too but not as good IMO

I might have to take a punt depending on the shipping/import costs post brexit with the kk tripod, seems low profile enough to blend in and I do like the idea of a tripod.
The Amiaud Peche looks a bit too big and brash for me and the chap in the vid made a right pigs ear of putting it together
Sure its great when its up on mainland european inland seas though but would look a bit odd in small tight swims I think.

this is my Solar worldwide with the global extension kit on a lake in France I was fishing a spot at about 180yards this is the only bank you can fish and in front was a massive weed bed the gravel bar area was the hotspot but you had to boat out your rods

I cant do tips up they always have to be under water wherever possible for me
Think the habit started when I was first carping in tight treelined swims at my fave place. When the line was out of the water I would get constant liners...from bats in the evening

When I was fishing the river itchen it was always tips up due to all the crap coming down and even canoe's easier for them to avoid if they can see where lives going in,even padding underneath the rods also with the current and rubbish coming down it can build up and drag rods and alarms in.
