Looking for a set of new rods 12ft 3.5lb for distance work 100yrds + my budget is £100-150 per rod so not after anywhere near the best. I just need a decent set for occasional use.

Free spirit ctx is a good choice but I would go for 3.25

With the 3.25 you can easily hit 100.yard , if + 120 yard is needed then go for the 3.50

I did look at the Crosscast but couldn't find much on them apart from a biased Carpology review.
The free spirits are deffinetly an option. I have also asked future fishing to get back to me on their restock as I don't mind waiting a short while

I've decided to wait untill the future fishing custom power mesh rods come back in stock. I really like the look of them and the price helps !

While you are waiting,definitely look at the Tackle Box own CF-X. Rods. They are doing a deal with a quality free carbon net if you buy 3 x 3.5lb 12 footers. These are great, good looking rods for the price. Bought one a few months ago. Big plus is they come with the SAH branded life time guarantee and with the Tackle Box they mean what they say.

Yeah they are lovely looking rods. My mates just bought the spod rod also he's not been out with it yet but it sure does look the business !
If these powermesh haven't come back in by November which is really when I need them for. Il just pay the extra and get the Tackle box rods or the free spirit ctx.
