Hi.
I have a plan to get 3 way fridge but i have few questions.
I have already double gas burner campingaz i want connect
Fridge and stove in one gas bottle use y connector.
I have already 11kg blue gas bottle.
My questions
1-can i put both in my social bivvy
2-gas bottle can stay inside or outside the bivvy
3-if is boiling hot summer bottle can stay outside
4- important questions this is safe
Any advice or ideas please

Anything running on gas should be well ventilated. If used in a campervan these fridges have a flue to the outside.
They also don't keep things as cold as a household fridge in hot weather.

plan is to get dometic 3 way fridge not a caravan
They say 20C less then outside temperature
I think if outside is 25 plus this fridge holds 5C?
My household one is set up 6C

I had one about 20 years ago when I could be fishing for a week, but soon flogged it.
It seemed a good idea at the time, had the front off my Titan so it was all open, and had the corner of the fridge where the flue was located, just out from underneath the bivvy.
Fortunately the gasses given off were so strong i couldn't stay in the bivvy whilst it was on, which was better than falling asleep and not waking up again

They are brilliant I wouldn't go to france without mine, I have the domestic which is the best in my opinion, anything up to 20 degrees it will keep frozen stuff frozen, 30 degrees will still remain ice cold if needed, theres a but i had one catch fire in a storm in france and burnt my bivvy down as I think the side blew onto the flu.
There's no way you should sleep in the same bivvy due to fumes and they must not be put on a groundsheet as the bottom gets hot or close to the side of the bivvy as I discovered and I'd always put the bottle outside so you can get to it. Hope this helps but definately a must for long stays and proper food.

BE CAREFUL !!!
With 3 way way fridges they have 3 different powers
......cooling upto 20 c below ambient temperature (not man enough in 30c weather
)
cooling upto 25c below ambient temperature these work a lot better but price increases
and lot more money cooling upto 30 c below ambient temperature
and then you have compressor type much better but loads of money
as far as your question about running the fridge and cooker off the same bottle go on ebay look for a Brass Y 3-Way Shut off Ball Valve and get a few metres of tubing

your going to use this in France ?? forget your gas bottle when you get to france go to the local supermarket and buy their brand of propane and a regulator cheap as chips unlike here the deposit for the gas bottle is only a couple of Euros and a 15kg bottle will last you weeks and work out a lot cheaper than Camping Gaz (Calor gas refills not available outside UK )
one other thing take a small spirit level with you as when running on gas it needs to be dead level or it simply wont work properly

I'm not going to France at the moment any way
I'm looking for 4-5 days session i have blue cheap one 24h after everything from the freezer start get melted
Just don't like it
Also i have table with adjustable legs always have dead level for the stove make nice cup of tea
I find already y connector and i need few jubilee clip.bottle is with the original regulator

Yes no problem in leaving any gas bottle in the sun
I have a 3 way fridge used it for many years it lived in an old Gardner pop up tent
but in the end I found it easyier to just use a Coleman Extreme cool box and every 3rd day pop to the local supermarket and simply buy a fresh bag of ice when buying the baguettes

You really don't need a fridge for those length sessions, here or abroad. A good quality, well loaded cool box is more than enough for upto a week

Only way i tray to get this fridge because i have a bottle and stove.
I was tray used both on the same time.
But for now I think I'm change my plan

It didn't work for me when I tried it. Problem being the burner pressure is higher that the pressure required for the fridge. The regulator that runs the burner is too powerful for the fridge. When I tried it the fridge just wouldn't light, and if I did manage to get the fridge lit, the flame kept going out.
I swapped to an adjustable regulator, but couldn't get it low enough for the fridge to work and have the burner on. The burner just took all the pressure again and the fridge went out.
Better with two separate bottles and regulators.

This is the one I have,went to the south of France (Cassien) and used it on the camp site hooked up to the electric,it did struggle ( so did I )in 35c plus temps it even hit 40c one day but still kept things fairly cool but when the temperature dropped to 20c at night it had ice in it in the morning stored it in the shade under a brolly,good piece of kit.
