Just wanted to know if anyone has had both is the standard Nash hide a lot smaller than the v2 tempest brolly thinking of getting one for days I find the v2 a bit big

I have both and used the Hide for first time last night and its great bedchair goes right to the back plenty of space in the front its a great design that's the only flaw with the tempest is the space between bedchair and back of bivvy the hide is a big thumbs up from me

Thanks but I really wanted to know how much smaller it is side by side I will be using it for days using a chair I won't be using a bed in it I want something smaller than my v2

There's not much in it as far as I can remember. I actually wrote the dimensions down somewhere too before I saw them but from memory, the Hide is slightly smaller but it's really not by much (well, I didn't think so anyway).

Thanks will keep looking I want something easy to put up and a lot smaller than my v2 might look at fox easy shelter

You are nothing with those dimensions because the Nash and Trakker are completely different models V back / sides vs Flat back a Tempest without an Oval bed is a huge difference
Even with a flat back bivvy you gain alot space with a oval bed, In the Frontier topic you can see a picture of me XD vs T150 even though the XD is 45cm less deep, you hardly lose any space because of the flat back on the XD compared to the T150

Ok so just to throw a spanner in the works.
Why not just buy one of the cyprinus fast and light brolly clones. That's what I use for days. Big enough for a chair and gear. Plenty of cover. Weighs nothing. Goes up in seconds. Drys in no time.

Had loads of oval type brollys over the last 40 years there old hat now messing around with storm poles and there to big 60 inch there also a bivvy you only have to add a wrap

I've had 3 fast a lights all second hand two where nicked sold 3rd the Aqua one are an absolute rip off at £300 for a brolly and a mate sold his cyprinus said didn't like the best was the wychwood 50 can't get anymore

I wouldn't pay aquas crazy prices either. That's why I suggested the cyprinus copy. I got mine in one of their eBay auctions for £70. Much more sensible money.

How can an item that they were selling for £70 a couple of years ago and still making a profit on now be £250.

As others said last week They feel like selling up it's one big rip off £300 for brollys £1400.00 for bivvy ect ect there's a few companies that are not bad also everywhere is full of anglers and every lake got a waiting list and the price of tickets has gone sky high all in all there are to many people fishing
So that's why they can go from £70 to £250 because if you don't buy someone will
