Hi All,

Can anyone recommend a cheap power pack / bank upto about £50? I only fish for 24 hours / 48 hours absolute max so doesn't need to be anything special

I've always used an anchor power pack. Think I paid £25. Will charge my iPhone 10 times and the headtorch if needed. Had it couple years so paid it's way already.

EC technologies one I use is good , charges my iPhone 6/7 times, think I paid £18

Another vote for anker, got a 25k mah one for £20 that's sufficient to charge my iPhone 11 Pro several times so plenty for a 2/3 day session. The ridge monkey one is so overpriced for what it is IMO

The Ridgemonkey is indeed expensive but I think I'll buy it too Bought the RM 180 bivvy lamp, wow not normal how fast it charges a smartphone, if the RM power bank is also so fast top then

I got the 20k anker for about £25 and it seems sound but only had it a week.

I have 4 anchors my first one was purchased 11-12 years ago and is still doing a grand job. Highly recommended.

I have two 26000 mah which live in my kit bag I can rotate them one in the car being charged etc however using the two allows me several hours of tv per day for a couple of nights if I can't be bothered going back to the car.

and a customer Xmas give away cylinder one I use with a my vap pen.

I got the EC Technology 26800mAh, £20 on Amazon mine was and will charge a smart phone about 5 to 6 times.

I recently bought a Charmast 23800mAh one from Amazon to replace an ageing, lesser capacity one of a different brand. They're currently about £25 but often have vouchers available to bring it down to £20.

So far after a dozen or so uses, it's been great. Can probably get 4/5 full charges of a Pixel 4a 5G before it needs a top up. The main reason I chose it, is because it has multiple outputs and one of them being USB-C power delivery, so I can fast charge.

I got one from curry's cant remember the exact one. I no it cost me £37 it's 35,000 mah it's lasts me days anything upto about 5 days. Really good bit of kit and don't see any need for order the really expensive ones

If any of you use makita 18v tools, they make a USB charger that clips onto the 18v batteries.
Think I paid sub £20 for mine.
Not sure how they compare to a stand alone power bank but I get lots of charges out of a 5 or 6 AH battery.
Could be an option if you already have the batteries.

what people dont realise is many of these ah comparisons dont often mean anything most of them are false plus they will be at 1 or 2 vaults.The ridgemonkey is at 5 and is no comparison with these cheap ones .Yes its expensive but it has massively more actual charging power .I bought the first ridgemonkey and it runs my tv for days it really isnt a comparison really.These small cheap ones are great for what they do and fit in your pocket the ridgemonkey is a different anima land yes is overkill if all you want is to charge your phone a few times

If it is just for charging usb devices this is severe overkill and a huge waste of money. There are lots of genuine pocket powerbanks like anker that are true capacity and worthwhile if all you need is 5v charging (the ridgemonkey also has 12v)

I've had the 20000 anker one for a few years and found it flawless for one and two night sessions it charges my p30 pro a couple of times and usually recharges my headtorch too if needed with charge to spare.

Only time I struggle. Is if my kid is with me with his power sapping ipad lol but it is nice to watch a film with him on a bigger screen than my phone.

I've got an anker 10,000mah which I keep in my bag at all times but majority of the time I use a makita battery and the USB adapter which fits on top. I can usually get 2 days worth using the makita.
