It arrived on Monday so been looking at all week it it's a bit bigger than the mk 1 the pocket on top is handy with the tray can put all bait up bits in it and a couple of leads pva needle scissors etc so when u set up just work off tray can leave on sack or take out on lap also there is a zip pocket in top lid and another in main flap I can fit food a flask in it and small amount of bait and all tackle in it inc buzzers walked around with it loaded five or six times seems more comfortable than the mk 1 so I think ta have cracked it

I have a korum ruckbag and have had two ta mk 1 rucksacks why it's hard to compare is the ruckbag is used for river fishing so not carrying anywhere near the same amount of gear

I looked at the new one at my local shop yesterday and compared with the older model they had side by side. No difference in size. Top pocket/ bait tray added and the yoke at the top of the original straps has been removed. The straps are now sewn individually to the main body. Back padding unchanged. A bit disappointing as I was hoping TA would have improved the harness.
I will stick with my original one till it wears out.

I use the ruck bag mainly as a barrow carryall, I get all I need for 24h+ in it, then use an esp stalker bait bag, a messenger style bag for rivers/short sessions and am looking for something in between really.
Ideally something comfortable, narrow enough to allow a rod bag over the shoulder, which is my main gripe with the ruck bag since i don't need to clip a chair anymore

I haven't got the old one to compare it to new one but the sizes they quote say it's bigger I looked at this before I bought it it's the only reason I bought it but you say apart from top pocket it's the same size I will give them a ring to find out

I bought the new one this week and put it to the test, i loaded it with my usual day/evening session tackle, even filled a flask up and took it over my local field where i walk my terrier and had it on my back for about 45 mins, result, very comfortable and no shoulder ache. It carries all I need for my session lengths and looks well made and thought out. Obviously if you take the kitchen sink or do weekenders then its prob not the one for you but as i only carry the min amount of gear it suits my needs. Ive seen plenty of comments prev that its uncomfortable to lug about but i havnt found that with this new model , wether its the way i carry it or theve altered something i dont know but from my limited trial it'll be my rucksack to use for now

Very pleased to hear that getting rid of the yoke might have made it more comfortable I don't know I've had 2 mk 1 and they where incredibly uncomfortable but this new one like you seemed ok

I think they may have included the pockets on the new dimensions ? Hopefully the small changes to harness have improved it. Please let me know once you have given it a proper field testing.

They state it's wider deeper higher only the height has anything to do with top pocket Will let you know might be a while thoe I always thought the mk 1 rucksack was great let down by being so uncomfortable fingers crossed this one will be Better

Yep, ive been out twice using it and can report that it seems fine when loaded, had mine full with tackle, food , and bait for a day session and a unhooking mat strapped on the top and it was fine, have yet to find a rucksack that once fully loaded doesnt pull a little on the shoulders but this one works for me and i can carry enough in it for my sessions on the river,

It's better than the mk1 it's slightly bigger the top pocket with tray is handy for baiting up bits which also gives you a zip pocket inside lid and another in main part it feels more comfortable as they got rid of the yoke so the straps are able to move more it's ok I don't think it's as comfortable as the camo esp rucksack but that's only single zip pullers and quite basic compared to the ta one I think for me the ideal one would be the esp with all the ta inside and outside pockets on

It's not the most comfortable of rucksacks, but it's like a tardis inside. Plenty of well thought out little features and made well. I'd recommend it

I ordered the new one and comparing with the older one side by side it is exactly the same size. The only differences are the top tray, (which is very handy) and the new shoulder straps which make it sit slightly better than the old one.
All in all a great little rucky... ...

As I said below good little rucksack but The trouble with these companies they don't listen to feedback from anglers I have spoke to dozens of people and everyone says they need to change the harness to make it more comfortable even a shop manager told ta rep how uncomfortable the mk 1 was as I've said before they need to copy the esp or speero they copied cotswold Aquarius and there terrible for comfort

Is it heavy as it's made of cordura which is like Aqua luggage hard wearing but a heavy material

No its not heavy at all,the padding on it is ridiculous.It is so comfy on your back and shoulders,the only thing I would prefer is there is only one grab handle.I liked the fact the TA had one either side of the bag

What do think it weighs when it's ready to go fishing sorry to ask you couldn't weigh it I am just comparing to the weight of mine I have no idea what weight people are carrying

My brew kit is in my barrow bag as don't take it for day sessions and food clips on top in modular clip on bag.It has got my pod in it and waterproof coat which I could put in barrow bag too I suppose
