In the market for a new bedchair/system and narrowed it down too these too really. I currently have a original levelite and 365 bag and have no complaints, but the solar also seems to have good reviews. Anybody even maybe had both amd can give a comparison. Jusr looking for some longer term user reviews.

I have the solar bed now and had the levelite els.The solar bed imo is far better made and I find it comfier

Cheers for the feedback, cheaper too which is a bonus out of the two. Does anyone also no what the height of the solar one is as can't find that dimension.

Wish solar would do either an 8 leg version or single legs at either end

Just buy a single leg that fits on any bed,I think it's saber that make one

Have the solar sp c tech wide boy. Most comfiest bed I have had. No more sore backs in the mornings. Only negative is it weighs the same as a tank but with a barrow this is no issues. I'll measure height in the morning.

tried single legs but then I found the perfect solution simply brilliant got mine from amazon it swivels out the way for folding and dont add much weight rock solid in operation

With legs unextended from base of foot to top of bed base is approx 16inches.

Sorry forgot to say that is for the wide boy. I wouldn't imagine that this would be different for the standard width.

I love my solar sp tech but as oaks said, with the bag on it weighs about the same as Essex. Still the best I've ever owned though.

For the Solar SP Tech, is it possible to remove the top half of the Sleeping Bag but leave the bottom half on the Bedchair to lay on?
Looking for options in the summer when the 5 season bag may not be necessary & a breathable Bedchair Cover could be put on.

It's a sleeping bag and a cover that attaches with toggles

Never tried on mine don't think you can however. As already mentioned the top fleece lined cover is simply toggled on. Will check though and confirm it.

Just checked there and the bag does not spilt. Crash zips each side but both stop just short of the toe box.

There is the sleep system and another with a detachable bag. The former can't be split.

Yeah mines the sleep system. The bag which pulls over the bed and the the fleece lined over cover which is duffled to the bag

I've got the solar sleep system great bed, only issue for me is the fleece lined bedchair cover, certainly not on the generous side compared to others out there.

Good morning guys,

Currently I am on a Trakker Levelite Els bed and was reading all these good reviews about the Solar Sp C tech bedchair.

Would you consider this an upgrade from the Trakker? Weight wise they are about the same, the Solar a bit heavier, I think.

One thing that worries me a bit about the Solar bed, is the locked up fabric in the frame. Won't this wear and rip through one day? How do you feel about that?

I had the bed you're on and now have the solar bed.The build quality of the solar is in a different league to trakker and I have had no issues with the fabric or frame

Thanks for your reply mate. And I have read that for side sleepers the Solar bed is not ideal vs the Trakker. How do you feel about that?

Not too impressed with the Trakker tbh. Weak frame, rather firm, too short for me (can't seem to get used to the oval shape and 'find my place') and the bag is not really warm.
