I have the Gardner and cant imagine anything could top it ( see what I did there lol)
having said that I haven't seen the fox BUT ! my only concern is it says its 20,000mm hydrostatic head ?? now Im wondering if its breathable ?
as many many years ago I bought a JRC bedchair cover that wasnt breathable at all and it suffered badly with condensation and used to get wet on the inside

The Gardner one seems highly rated, but I'd be surprised if its better than the ccp bedchair covers

The deluxe one? It is heavy but last autumn I was using one without bivvy or bag
The lined version is more practical for most people I think

Just to widen it a bit I have the TFGear cover the extra wide one and nothing comes close imo and for £30 it's a steal
And I've had a fare few,I also have a Gardner cover ( the green one) it's massive and it sounds like your rattling around in a crisp packet especially when the temperature drops but it's not to bad warmth wise

I have the VRS thermal cover. It's amazingly warm but it's very bulky. When it turned up I thought they'd sent me a sleeping bag by mistake. 😂 TBF that's not an issue for me so I'm not bothered by the size but like I say it is super warm and have found breathable also. I really like it and wouldn't change.

I use the vrs one with my flatliter 3 season system, and no problem at all with condensation.

I've got the Gardner thermal bed chair cover just got it last month from reading feedback on here its plenty big enough for wide bed chairs I'm only using it on a SS2 i think it is as its the only bedchair I can fit in my atom and not touch the roof when sat on it.
The cover itself is well made very comfortable if just using it as a duvet style very warm and the clips make it easy to fit and not worry about it being pulled off the bed also with it being waterproof very handy for using in a smaller bivvy as I don't worry about my sleeping bag getting wet from me taking jackets off etc.
Ive only got the NGT sleeping bag which is pretty warm itself but with the bedchair cover when it dipped to 2 or 3 degrees i was too warm sleeping in joggers like i usually would, also its very effective at insulation I didn't need the bag zipped up meaning i got out quicker at 2:30 to land a duck

I know what you mean about the size...Looked at the VRS3 and it was Humongous ....cant imagine the 2 being much smaller than as they're all supposed to be a bit oversized.

I have the fox on my flatliter 3-season and it's everything I need . Plenty warm enough and good protection. Yes it's a little bulky but not really a problem for me .

I use to have the fox one when I had a 3 season sleeping bag I used it for the winter when it got colder it is very good and well worth the money I only sold it when I bought a decent 5 season bag with a inner that zips out

off topic and very expensive BUT the cotswold Aquarius one is brilliant and ive had a few Trakker, Aqua, CCP, Nash variations and the CA with clip in fleece is another eve, Id struggle to believe that there is anything better out there
