Just went to update my frequent traveler account and unless I read it wrong they have cancelled this option for the summer !

I renewed another load of tickets only a few weeks ago, i done a trip last week which was the normal cheaper rate, however got another 2 week trip in a few weeks and all the frequent traveller rates are sold out. I checked other dates and seems to be the same so not worth having it for the summer anyway.
I've booked the ferry for that trip now as the tunnel prices are just mental..

I'm off in a couple of weeks it's going to cost me just shy of £ 400 return

Cross channel travel must be the most expensive corridor in the world for travel in terms of pounds spent for miles travelled.....

Yeah, that's what it was coming out for me. mental.
Went with P&O in the end, £220 return.

We have just booked frequent traveller on the tunnel as diffence between tunnel and the ferry was very little when we booked a few weeks ago. Ferry always puts their prices up at busy times like school holidays or Xmass
Fisrt time on the tunnel in a few years as ferry became our prefered option a few years ago due to the tunnel becoming unreliable alot of the time. Espically at bust times like weekends or holidays.
But think its safer staying in our car than getting out on the ferry
Been going across to france dover to calais for last 15 years at least 8 times a year

HOW MUCH
??
What date are you going and was that Eurotunnel?? If it was, in the old days you could book 5 return trips for that price.

Don't know what you mean by old days, you could still book ten trips for £400 up to two weeks ago, as I said in my original post they have cancelled it for the summer.

Yep , but with no planes in the sky this is the only way off this god foresaken island ... when they start increasing the flights again and people feel safe travelling that way , the prices will gradually come back down. , meanwhile they are going to milk it for everything . This has actually probablygiven the ferries a reprieve !
The whole world and it's seems the U.K. in particular ( if you add Brexit in there , ) is frankly FUBAR .

In reply to post 7.
Yes booked ten trips. On the tunnel.
Think it was £430 we will have to pay the surcharges as well from time to time.
By the way there are only so many frequent travelers spaces on each crossing.
This is in the small print.
Not sure if the ferry does the same now never used to.
Think the tunnel are just milking it .
Having said that there prices dont varry to much where as the ferry put the prices up in the holiday periods.

Its cancelled in as much as you cannot renew, but if you have trips in your wallet can use them. Unfortunately all the nice times seem to have gone/weren't ever made available for FT's. We are out week 16th Aug used mine, night train out is no problem but coming back had to leave early which is a pisser as dont have to be off the lake until lunchtime. As you say to book that return as a standard ticket was I think £290 for the van.

They have lifted it, I booked ten trips last night for £ 480 👍
What's the crack with the frequent traveller regarding a van ? If it's £48 for 10 tickets a car...
Is there a supplement you have to pay for a van on top?? I've got x6 trips in the next 12mts so a no brained me getting the frequent traveller as long as it's not mega money for a van.....anyone 👍🏻

It's usually £12 each way extra out of peak times or £32 in peak times for a van on top of the £48 each way.
I always go off peak so a return costs me £120 return which is cheap.
