I am in the market for a new barrow and think I have it narrowed down to one of two.
Fox explorer deluxe or trakker access.
I like the access of both these barrows, and both seem to have features that help keep the weight distributed over the front wheel, the fishery path is relatively flat grass with a few ruts but is just a longish way.
I know the trakker is more expensive but I'd most likely get the front bag with the fox so the price would no doubt even out.
Anyone out there happen to have had both or maybe a friend who has tried them?

I can only speak for the Fox but for the price I couldn't be happier with it. The side entry/access in to the barrow bag is a small feature but has honestly changed the way I carry my gear and fish. Perfect for me for short sessions.

I know that you have not listed it as one of your choices but in my opinion the Carp Porter's offer the better value for money.
You can pick a Mk2 up with a zip top drop in bag for about £130.
Or even the Carp Porter Porterlite 2 with zip top drop in bag for around £110.
Very good value for money.
Plus you also have the option of adding purpose made extra luggage to the Barrow if you wish.
I recently added Pannier bags, a Drop in bag with side access and the XL side bags.

2 years in and apart from the well documented slightly wobbly handles (which isn't really a problem) I can't fault it.

Have you strapped the top of the handles near where you hold it? This stops any lateral movement

Not got around to trying it yet but I don't find it a problem at all, particularly under load.

If you haven't looked at a mk2 carp porter then I'd definitely have a look - the std wheel not the fatboy one, and dont be tempted by the puncture proof wheels - they're useless if you load it up.

Even cheaper if you pick one up from there eBay outlet, I paid £150 delivered for a mk2 fat boy frame, with normal size puncture proof wheel, drop in bag, front bag and cover. All brand new and delivered within 24 hours.

It wasn't me that posted mate as only just got mine. As for Prestige I will never use again. I've had a few and never been really happy with any of them. The wide wheels are a complete joke as is the suspension gimmick. The Explorer Deluxe loads better than any Mk2 or 4 I've owned. I am however keeping a keen interest in the tyre situation as I don't fancy it blowing

Get yourself a bottle of redwing tyre sealant from ebay.Its the one Fox recommended when I emailed them.My mate has my old tyre on his explorer and it's been fine.

I had not had a puncture,I put it in because it states it can seal over any punctures if you do get one.Im not sure if it would seal a puncture up after it's happened

Well the one that was mine that's now on a mates barrow and it's been fine and out in some very high temperatures.
