I have been offered a space on a lake booking in the autumn on lake 2 at serene.
Not visited this complex before so just looking for any info on the stock of this lake and any tips from people who have fished there recently.

I have been on lake 3 and had a good look at lake 2 .I found it very very weedy the lad who fished it was fishing to very small holes in the weed .if you get a run it's all boat work to try to land the fish .personally I would not go but you pay your money and take your chance good luck

I'm out in June first time, can't find much about the place to be honest. We took the booking as a last minute thing. Be interested to hear any feedback on here from people that have fished it.

Lake 2 when I fished it was very weedy

From the hut end there is a huge gravel bar running from left to right and about 3/4 away across about half way out.

There are loads of Crays in there so John will let you use tiger nuts,so mesh your boilies up and take maize with you.

The hit has everything you will need shower,fridge freezer,kettle,etc if you want to do your own cooking or you can have the meal
Package on lake 1 or 3 if John and mave are away.

Between 3 of us we only caught 1 carp all week and I lost one right in the edge
Last time I spoke to John he was going to treat the weed so it might be a lot clearer than when I went.

Weed I can take but 1 fish all week is worrying, just a slow week hopefully. Is it a nice place to fish though, would you return?. Thanks

I've fished the lake behind serene 2 quite a bit and the lads walk the track behind us up to johns lodge, never spoken to anyone who has really done well.no doubt there are some big fish to be caught but as stated it is very weedy and a proper challenge.
Not as easy as labyrinth 😉

Well let me tell you there was 2 weeks last season 2 done 40 odd fish between 3 people and another week 54 fish between 4 people with only 1 re capture it haa got weed but thts half the challenge boats available too can be difficult in the hight of summer but so is a lot of the lakes....
